I didn't see a topic on this in the immediate first pages, so forgive if it's been posted already.
Abrynne and I went to see this tonight and I found that I felt the same way about the movie that I did about the trailer. I think this is a major achievement, as the trailer made me giggle quite a bit.
I thought this script was clever and cute, the story was pretty good and full of plot holes, and the ending was extra-super cheesy and unrealistic. Pretty much how the trailer was. I really enjoyed the whole danged thing. Toni Collette and Nia Vardalos were really cute in their stage roles, they have really good voices, and the drag queen groupies were also fun and likeable. David Duchovny was fun, just the right touch of dragophobic and endearing. You like him better by the end, I promise.
I don't know if I would suggest spending $8 on this movie, but if you liked this trailer, then you'll like the movie.
