1.Trick question. There was never such a thing as a "Hundred Years War."

2.Taiwan. Sometimes China.

3.That's easy. It says the answer right there in the question. Catfish, of course.

4.I understand that it's a year-round thing.

5.Plastic probably. I didn't know that they brushed their hair.

6.Actually, they're named after an animal indigenous to the island, the Canary Island stink lizard. And you probably thought it was just some big coincidence.

7.I believe his full name is Martin Luther King George VI.

8.Finches don't have color.

9.Panama.

10.They paint the blackbox bright orange so that they can find it easily at crash sites.

(Okay, so I realize that this could be a trick quiz and not just some joke that you play on stupid people, but I decided to make fun of it anyway since I don't know for sure.)

Isn't Number 9 New Zealand?

Chinese Gooseberry = Kiwifruit, right?

I know that a Purple Finch is a deep reddish color. Not really purple. They're being replaced by the much more common House Finch nowadays, in the U.S., so they are quite rare around here.

Wow, I was just being facetious and I may have actually put the right answer for 10. Yeah, they are in the Atlantic. Unless there's also ones in the Pacific, which I would then assume would be named after the ones in the Atlantic.

I don't think kiwifruit is native to New Zealand, but it was a fun quiz anyway.

Many of you probably know this, but the reason that the Russians celebrate the October Revolution in November is that at the time of the revolution Russia was still on the old Gregorian calender. The rest of the world had already switched to the Julian calender, which was (I think) 14 days ahead of the Gregorian. Anyway, when they finally switched over the anniversary of their October Revolution was no longer in October.

The Gregorian calender had gradually become inaccurate because the Earth's trip around the Sun doesn't exactly take 365.4 days.
