Um, no. It's quite an adventure story though.

Went to bed at a reasonable (for me) time...asleep by one. YEAY!

Awake at three. [Grumble]

Stubbornly stay in bed. Stay in bed. Stay in bed.

Give up. Get up, get breakfast. Check weather, check trail reports. Pack up hiking bag (it's 6-7 by this time). Post. Talk to people. Finish packing. Got to get morning meds to pack (too early to take them). Realize I took my day meds last night. [Eek!]

Dress for hiking. Set out in partly sunny weather. 2/3 of the way up, it's raining. At the bottom of the trail--snowing. [Mad]

I'm stubborn. Start up the trail wearing softshell, wool (fleece lined, as I'm allergic to wool) hat, gloves. Take pictures. Continue up snowy trail, wiping snow out of my eyes and coughing it out of my mouth.

Hear something.

Turn around.

Nothing. Scratch head. Continue.

Observe pile of animal poo. Scratch head again.

Continue. See yellow snow...animal wee. Hmmm. Look about.

Continue....did I mention I'm stubborn?

Still snowing. Hear voices behind me on the trail. Turn around.

No one there. Hmmm. Continue. Take off hat, gloves, jacket. Take pictures. Continue.

Feel/hear deep thudding sounds. Look about. Look about more. Hmmm. Continue.

Voices again.

And again.

No one there. Snow+animals close to the trail not sure which ONES+the thuds+these mysterious voices=me running back down the trail and driving my ass home between 90-95.

Narrowly avoid state trooper. [Eek!]

Home.

o_O

Hmm.

Those really are some great pictures, and it almost makes me want to go hiking up a trail myself. Except that I'm lazy. [Smile]

Holy, Moly, Mack! What do you think it was?

Beautiful pics. I love the one with the moss on the rock.

I don't know. But I was the only one there and that makes me worried.

Beautiful, mackillian. I'm so glad you are offering photos on eBay, too.

With nigh on zero exposure though. *kicks stuff*

mack, it will probably take awhile to build up an audience. Plus, your sales may be limited by the photos being laser-printed. It might be worth having one professionally matted and framed so that the photo could be shown to its best advantage. Paintings seem to sell better that way.

Tell you what -- if David and I mat one, I'll have TomD take a still.
