Do you have the AOL IM program (you don't have to be a subscriber to AOL to have it -- it is a separate IM program).

If you have it, log in to it. Then add YOURSELF to your contact list as a buddy.

Then click on your own username in your buddy list, choose "send chat invitation" and in the "chat room" field, take out whatever is in there and type "Hatrack Chat" to invite yourself into the existing chat.

I finally had to go out and get the AOL Instant Messenger because these people were always in Hatrack Chat in AIM, and never in this one.
