Do any of you write over there? I do, and was just wondering if we had bumped into one another.

I used to-- I was Joshua, Miriam Gruber, Quincy Umbles, Twilla, Needles Harrington, and a couple other minor folks.
Good fun-- totally took up too much of my time. Say hi to Tansy-- Joshua knew Tansy when she was just a kid.

My username comes from my 1st character at the 1830s forum. I wrote the same time as Scott.
I was Jenny Gardener, Trout Fisher, Henny Featherbairn, James X. Genteel, Cain Hotblood, Ambrose Milliner, and Pike Fisher.
I agree, it was wonderful fun. It's a great way to practice creative writing and loosen up your imagination. It's unaccountably thrilling to write a shared story, with others responding to what you write. The 1830's Forum was kind of like a mix between a role-playing game and writing a story.
I highly recommend it to anyone with a lot of time and a desire to polish up their writing skills.

I was looking at it a bit ago. It seems interesting, but slow. Maybe I'll think about it over the summer...

Scott R., I haven't met Tansy...sadly, like so many others, she has seemingly disappeared.
Ryuko, come and play! The reason it's so slow is that there aren't enough people posting. I promise that if you come, my characters will interact with yours!

I used to wonder this as well. I guess I'm too uptight and afraid someone will call me on some anachronistic inconsistency to enjoy writing over there. But maybe I'll give it a shot. I thought mafia would be more like and RPG, but it's more of an all you can eat anxiety buffet.
