190 years ago, on the 17th of May, Norway adopted its constitution. Of course, we didn't gain our independence until 1905, but still. The 17th of May is our National day.

Unlike most countries, Norway doesn't have a military parade on our National day. We don't care much for the military. Instead, we try to show off our most important asset: our children.

In about an hour, thousands of children, from the age of six and up will take to the streets in parades in every town, in every city, all over Norway. All of them carrying a little flag, singing. Celebrating our independence and our freedom.

This is the greatest country on earth and we know it [Smile]
