[Smile]

Who wants to critque the whole thing?

quote:
If the goblins decide not to eat you right then,
They'll take you away to Grim-Glommery Fen.
The fen is a swamp, and an old secret spot
Where Wild Landers go to sell treasures they've caught.
And it won't take a moment, you'll see it is true--
Today, the greatest of all treasures is you.
Ogres and wort-hags, specters and ghouls
All vie to buy you with potions or jewels.
A wrinkled old troll chief offers half of his lair
For a bite of your ear, and the rest of your hair.
A dragon roars out from way in the back,
"Nine chests full of gold, and a Bottomless Sack!
A year's worth of mud-slugs I'll throw in for free!
Bring them both to my kitchens, I eat dinner at three!"
The sound of their haggling is something to hear
They laugh and guffaw, and they snarl and sneer.
This is no place for children (I've already said)
So to make sure your neck stays with your head
Sneak quickly and quietly beneath all the noise
Past troll legs, and drool-wights, and giantish boys.
They're too busy betting on just who will win
To notice their treasures stealing away from the Fen.

LOL.

Clever and fun.

There's more?

The Wild Land is almost 1000 words long, so yeah, there's more.

It's a little dark, as far as children's verse goes. . .

Good news- in my efforts to do whatever it takes to get on the shelves of Barnes and Noble, I'm announcing that in late 2005, I will be available for order online!

Just think: Your very own 30 year old father of three! You can listen to me gripe about lots of things! Use me as a doorstop!

I can write bad light verse for you, too!

Six percent satisfaction guaranteed!
