I think I did this last summer as well. The rules are simple. Your post must compliment the poster directly before you. I'm first and get to pick anyone.

Scott is a wonderful writer and his posts occasionally make me laugh out loud. And I mean Scott R, of course.

Posted by BannaOj (Member # 3206) on :

If celia starts more threads like this everyone is going to find out her real self is Sweetness and Light and she'll ruin her Evil reputation.

Tom Davidson is the only Jatraquero I have seriously considered meeting up with in real life. He is consistently funny, down-to-earth, and generous.

And he once called me 'sincere.'

I have been sarcastic and flip ever since.

Darn you, Mr. Davidson! Darn you to Sheol!

Posted by celia60 (Member # 2039) on :

Kaioshin is obviously very young, but he tries to pay attention, and I like that. He's also better at following rules than certain Scott R's are.

Oh. . .

Um. . .

Rats. . .

:thwack head against cactus:

Celia is one of the few people whose posts I will go out of my way to pay attention to.

She's funny-- and when she's serious, she's sincere.

I dig that.

zgator is adept at the "left handed compliment".

I've often disagreed with Telperion about the more *weighty* isssues, but he has always come across not only non-offensively, but not even annoying. He comes across as honest and sincere.

And when it comes to lighter issues, he and I agree a *LOT*.

DocCoyote is one the main reasons I came out of hibernation. Great posts!

Posted by DocCoyote (Member # 5612) on :

Not sure if I'm allowed to post about the person who posted about me, but... it isn't like the rules were that concrete!

Phanto values his/her uniqueness (not sure of gender). What strength in a world where fitting in is often the most important thing!

Posted by Jalapenoman (Member # 6575) on :

Hmmm...as a new board member I don't know all ya'll that well.

So, DocCoyote had the insight and education to spell all of the words correctly in his/her post!

(yes, "all ya'll" is the proper plural form of ya'll, which is actually the singular form)

Posted by CaySedai (Member # 6459) on :

Jalapenoman was wise enough to not make assumptions about gender with Doc Coyote's nick. [Smile]

Farmgirl likes to debate issues here on hatrack, but shealways come across as wanting to hear others opinions. It doesn't mean that she will agree with them, but she alway seems to care what others have to say even when they don't agree with her.

To me, that is a great thing..

Posted by Bob the Lawyer (Member # 3278) on :

It’s hard to say what I like best about Bob the Lawyer. Some might say it’s his wicked sense of humour that walks a fine line between totally inappropriate and completely, utterly and absolutely inappropriate. Others might point to his keen intellect, his dashing good looks, his quickness of wit or his calm demeanour. The ladies might be eager to say it’s his raw sexuality that’s so overpowering he’s forced to communicate with them online lest they find themselves rending his clothes to get to his sweet, sweet manflesh that they love best. Some men might say the very same thing.

In fact, the only downside to Bob the Lawyer is his sheer awesomtude points out the glaring flaws in a language that cannot properly capture his wicked-super-clever-hot self.

Hats off to you, Bobble. We salute you!

*salute*

Posted by Phanto (Member # 5897) on :

Bob the Lawyer, though being so bizzare as to call himself a lawyer, has a kind way of posting. Very few of his posts have been sharp, and that really says something about his character.

As a newbie I'm still fleshing out the different posters characteristics, at least as much as possible on a message board but I think I can manage a compliment for Phanto.

Phanto, I truly enjoy your music analysis threads. I find them entertaining and informative. Thanks

As a fellow newbie, punwit, I know where you're coming from and I wanted to post on this thread long ago but didn't feel I knew anyone well enough for even a general "you're... nice" compliment. But I read the "Thanks for the Compliment" thread and I thought it was incredibly sweet of you to continue your compliments there (even if it was STRICTLY FORBIDDEN [No No] ) You are very good-hearted and genuine.

Now: *fears she will be the last poster since no one knows her* [Angst]

Just to add one on for Polio, she's cool a) because she immediately gave away her gender so we wouldn't have to feel stupid when one of us inevitably guessed it wrong! b) she sees good things in people and tells them about it c) she posts on hatrack which means she's SMRT!! [Smile]

Anna is a hatrack junkie with a french accent that we all dearly love because she's got a great sense of humor!

As an even newer newbie than a couple who've posted above, I've been reading this thread and avoiding posting, but here goes anyway...
