I posted this about two years ago. [Smile]

But, what the heck, a lot of new people probably haven't seen it. Do they still have those hilarious letters?

::goes to look::

Cool.

P.S. Is there anything you haven't posted in the last two years, Ela? [Razz]

I think I learned about that site a few years ago. Maybe less, who knows. I'd have to go home to get the info, but my death day is somewhere in the mid to late 50s.

Posted by Ela (Member # 1365) on :

Naw, don't delete it. It's still funny. [Razz]

But he doesn't seem to have updated the Dead Letter Office in a year. Too bad, those letters crack me up. [Smile]

Hmmph.. If I change my gender from male to female then I live 5 more years.

Posted by sndrake (Member # 4941) on :

I wouldn't go deleting or being embarrassed every time someone says "it was posted before," especially if it was a couple years ago - those posts are long gone for the most part.

Just to be clear - I don't think Ela was trying to embarrass anyone. She was just letting people know she thought it was neat/fun/interesting/weird enough to post it herself sometime back.

Then again, I've gone to the site and am not really happy with what I learned there.

And yes, skrika, there's a lot of stuff I haven't posted in the last however many years.

I guess you think I shouldn't have mentioned that I remembered the last duct tape thread, but it doesn't detract from Ben's posting about a duct tape wallet, and I doubt he took it that way, either. [Smile]

Absolutely correct, sndrake.

Actually, a couple of weeks ago I was bored and thought of re-posting the Death Clock myself, cause I thought a lot of newbies may not have seen it. But then I got busy and didn't bother. [Smile]

Thanks for posting the site. We had fun with it here at work.

I die on Saturday, July 14, 2057

Which would make me 96 years old when I die!

I think I saw a different version of this about four years or so ago. I know a lot of people who were afraid to look at it because they thought it might change something.

Did you figure out that choosing "optimistic" instead of "normal" adds almost 20 years to your life?

I can't that site to work on my (crappy) browser, but that's OK, I've figured out when I'm going: before Annie does. Problem solved.

I'll be 80. Pretty old. I just don't want to go after my Vincent. Together in a car crash, maybe...

Wow. This thing has me living until I'm 104!!

I love lieing to it so it thinks you should be dead. It says "I'm sorry, but your time has expired. Have a nice day"

lol

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2077. However, chances are I'll be dead by the time I'm 80, since everyone I'm related to has cancer, and you catch cancer like a cold these days. Oh, did I mention I said I was an optimist? [Big Grin]

Thursday, April 8th, 2077.

That would make me 90 when I die. Not a bad age. [Smile]

I checked "pessimistic" and got Wednesday, November 24, 2027 . So there. I won't make 56. Does that make me the first to go?

I'm supposed to go in 2058 at age 100!

Yikes, I'd only be 41! [Cry]

Posted by skrika03 (Member # 5930) on :

I'm not generally optimistic, or even normal (see how I read Ela's comments) but on the subject of longevity I'm very optimistic. I'm not related to anyone who has had terminal cancer.

Posted by Icarus (Member # 3162) on :

As I mentioned in another thread, I know of no male to whom I am genetically related who has made it to sixty.

Posted by cochick (Member # 6167) on :

Wednesday, February 12, 2042 - I'd only be 74 - yikes that means I'll be half way there in a few years

Posted by cochick (Member # 6167) on :

OK I'm thick - I always get mixed up between 16 ounces in a pound and 14 pounds in a stone. Thought my BMI was incredibly high - times'd by 16 not 14. Not that it made that much difference though - I get an extra 3 years exactly.

Ok, I can make it to 2078 if I quit smoking and become extremely optimistic. But, I don't think I can do it. [Taunt]

Wednesday, September 11, 2086. I'ma be old! Woo!

Also, I like what it said about me when I was working out my BMI...

Your Category is: Desirable
Your Body Mass Index is: 20

Desirable... yay!

Apparantly I'm underweight... [Angst]

I am going to live to 2083, which makes me 97. If I was larger I'd live yo 103. I need to start eating...

September 14, 2013.

This is only a little over nine years.

I'll die at the age of 52. My son will have just started his LDS church mission. His dog will probably still be alive. My wife may still be driving her car.

Oh well, I had to go sometime!

I've seen that death clock many times but I have always avoided it.

But now that I have actually gotten myself to do it, it says that I will live up to September 2085. That is 98 years of age, man.

Now if only this was real...

Cool! I get to live to be 100 too. [Smile]

Death Day: June 12, 2083

Posted by BlueJacsFan (Member # 6590) on :

I left the selection at normal, but I probably should have gone pessimistic. It has me dying at 72, which may or may not be about right.

I have a kidney disease which I inherited from my dad. As long as the disease is diagnosed, they can treat the HBP that accompanies it, and can better monitor the progression. Medical science wasn't advanced enough for my grandfather to ever get diagnosed with it, and he died before he turned 50. My dad, however, will turn 60 next month, and just had a transplant this past winter. I'm definitely paying attention to how things go for him because I know I'll be facing the same thing in another 20 years or so.
