Yesterday, while googling various things related to wedding planning, I ran across a headpiece that perfectly matches the beadwork/embroidery on the front of my wedding dress. Yay! But it’s on e-bay. I’ve never registered for e-bay, and I’m not sure I want to. But wait! Bob has. So I called him.
“Hi honey, how’d you like to buy your bride a tiara?”
After he stopped laughing (which didn’t take more than five or ten minutes) he bought it using the ‘buy it now’ feature, so it’s speeding its way to Texas as we speak.

Bob already has a very sexy stubbly beard, thank you very much. Now that I have pictures of him I can finally take down the August of 2002 LotR calendar that has been gracing my kitchen wall since, well, August of 2002.

I think that is a very good picture of you and the dress. I like it, it is simple but elagant, not over the top as some dresses are all too often.
I also think the headpeice is beautiful. I'm sure you will look stunning.
Now I feel bad I won't get to see you in it.....there is no way we could make it to Iowa. But you will be in our thoughts that day, for sure. What is the actual date again?

I've been meaning to post on this topic for several days but all my replies seemed smarmy or presumptious. Oh well I'm gonna let it all hang out anyway. I would think that YOU make him feel like a KING.
I feel privileged that I am able to witness your love for one another. It is wonderful and life affirming and somehow also makes me feel special. Hopefully this vicarious feeling isn't indicative of some deep problem.

By the way, ebay-seller has been trying to reach me via my company e-mail for 2 days and I finally figured out that their ISP and my ISP don't like each other. So, I had them respond to my home e-mail. Tiara is already winging its way to TX from California.
Oddly, we'll be in CA next week (or so), so the tiara will get here while Dana is out there.
Oh, and Shan, that was really quite good. Not a bad pun at all!

dkw! Oh yeah! I did post it already. I did remember to warn you about my failing memory didn't I? I don't think it's Alzheimers or anything seriously degenerative. I've always been like this. I was going to be an absent-minded professor, but I forgot and went into consulting instead.
