I second the Peter Pan remake from this year...it was one of the best movies I have seen in a long time.

I love adding TV shows to my netflix rental (ER, Highlander, and such)
Do you like sports movies, if so the Natural is great, I also like For love of the game.
Good Will Hunting is a must see (it is a Matt Damon movie about a genius with some serious social issues)
Lean on me is a GREAT movie with Morgan Freeman (he is a principal at a low budget school)
You should also watch the Godfather movies.

If you like reading Dave Barry, "Big Trouble" is a must. But if you don't like reading Dave Barry, run away fast.
Name of the Rose was really creepy but features a 20 years younger Connery and a very young Christian Slater. It would go on my "I can't believe I saw this... in the theater" list.
