Unfortunately, they charge for it, but Honolulu airport has Wi-Fi that you can tap into in the gate areas (and other places).

Is this cool or what?

I can. I use my cellphone to connect my laptop to the net (I avg about 160kbps). It's free, but it does cost me my minutes (unless I'm in the offpeak hours).

Your DSL probably gets 30 kiloBYTES/sec, unless it's really a 28.8 modem in disguise. (And even that sucks. Most broadband does 3Mbit.)

I get 160kb/s (that's roughly 20KB/s). Supposedly Sprint is working on upgrading their network to cable speeds sometime in the next year or two.

DSL still sucks compared to about everything but dialup. Mainly the costs involved for getting any decent speeds are roughly the same cost as cable (if you're lucky), if not more.

Another option would be to search for unsecured WiFi hotspots and use that connection. Hotels are famous for this (as well as some restaurants).

Columbus' airport (CMH) has (at least had) Wi-Fi for free.

I found I get WiFi in DIA (Denver's Airport) but that I would have to pay for it. However, they said that any airport using teh same scheme as them (I don't know how many that was), the money I paid for the day of internet service would transfer over. [Dont Know]

I didn't pay the money because it was like 10 bucks I was going to be there for about an hour.
