Okay, WHAT was Card talking about in his next-to-latest review column??

What is the significance of February 18, 2005?

It's the end of the world. Don't you have it marked on your calendar?

No... Do people seriously think it's the end of the world?

...Because Dale Earnhardt died 3 years before it?

quote:
Dale drove the black #3 car for most of his career, spanning late 1970's until his unfortunate passing in 2001.
wouldn't three years after 2001 be 2004?

Well shucks... I suppose it would...

Just my opinion, but I think that the publisher releasing the book in February and OSC saying you should read the book to find out why the 15th is an important date aren't coincidental. OSC thinks the book is good and if you don't know why that date is important, you should read the book. Of course, if you read the book, you'll find out that it's about Dale Earnhardt and then discover that 2/15 is important because that is the day he died. Maybe even more stuff happened on that day during his career. But OSC thinks it's worth reading about. Just my opinion though. I just don't think he thinks there is anything mystical or ominous about that date.
