I love the 1966 version of Batman ("Holy Campy film"). I could watch it once a month and never get tired of it.
As much as I despise Donny Osmond, I do enjoy his filmed version of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat."
My favorite really bad movie, however, is possibly "Oscar." It is a hilarious film with Tim Curry and Stallone (the only movie with Stallone that I will even watch).

I really pissed off my cousin by being able to lay out the entire story of Pure Country 15 minutes into the film without ever having seen it. I was eight at the time.
For me, it's gotta be Soldier with Kurt Russel. I mean, it really is a bad movie, but I love any movie with huge gritty landscapes- Soldier has those in spades. That's probably why I love playing Fallout so much.

it is with and odd mixture of pride and shame that my friends and I, on our own, kept the movie "Red Dawn" playing at our local $1 theater for several months straight by going to see it nearly every Friday night for almost an entire school year.
I liked "Starship Troopers" and also enjoyed the first Tomb Raider movie and Star Wars Episode I.

I liked the movie "Spice World". I mean I really liked it. I thought it was fantastic.
Allow me to explain.
I came off my mission in December of 1997. As anyone who has been on an LDS mission can understand, there is a high degree of cultural isolation that occurs during those two years. A month or so after I got home, my little sister made me take her to see this movie. I had no idea what it was about. I didn't even know that there was a real group called The Spice Girls. So when I was watching a movie, I assumed that it was a mockumentary, along the lines of This Is Spinal Tap, which I also loved. And it was actually pretty funny. Watching it with my sister turned that "pretty funny" to "downright hilarious." I laughed so hard while I was watching it that my muscles were sore by the time it was over. I was hooked. Even after I found out who The Spice Girls are, I couldn't stop watching. I saw it at least five times in the theatre. I convinced all my friends to go with me. Some of them got it, and others have never forgiven me. I bought two copies of the video the day it came out, one for me and one for my sister. Now that I'm fully aware of the social stigma associated with it, I haven't had the nerve to replace it on DVD. But I've seen the video many times.
In my defense, the cast is packed with brilliant people, like Mark McKinney (my favorite Kid in the Hall), George Wendt, Roger Moore, Hugh Frye & Steven Laurie (both from Black Adder), Elvis Costello, Bob Hoskins, Elton John and Meat Loaf. There were also people like Alan Cumming, Richard E. Grant, Jason Flemyng, Barry Humphries (Dame Edna out of drag), and Dominic West, none of whom I'd heard of before that movie, and all of whom I'll always think of as "that dude from Spice World."

"Soldier" was actually a good film - allowing for the fact the dialogue was kept to a minimum.
Of course, I have obscure tastes, so go figure.

Seriously though, the reason why they were not as good as the earlier three that were made... oh before I was BORN because the acting in those were far better. I mean, come on now? Harrison Ford? He's good. And James Earl Jones as the voice of Darth Vader. Awesome. The movie actually had depth. They concentrated TOO much on visual effects in the newest Star Wars movies IMO. /tangent

I remember liking the Spice Girls movie as well. I am not much of a movie buff. I can't do horror(scared) or drama(fall asleep, or want to), so that leaves adventure, and occasional sci fi, and just plain dumb movies.

panned by critics and audiences alike as being a worthless romantic comedy. i found they put forth a good amount of effort in the soundtrack and it just had a dark moody feel to me, it just seemed to have a sad tone to it. it's a $5.99 DVD. it's a guilty pleasure of mine.

Oh, come on. You can do better than that. Drumline was actually pretty good. Nice drama that didn't follow the standard "Karate Kid" plotline that I was expecting from the previews. And Orlando Jones gave a very nice performance. I've liked him for a long time, and always felt bad when he got crappy parts in crappy movies. He finally got a decent part in Drumline which was totally against his type, and he did an excellent job with it. Most of the rest of the cast were really good as well.
Oh, I'm a band geek too, and the drumming in that movie was killer, so that didn't hurt it either.
I don't know that I'd own it, but it's certainly not a movie you should hate to admit that you watch. I think you'll have to try again if you want to compete with some of the other stinkers that have been mentioned.

A movie I thought I was going to be ashamed of renting was The Mexican. A friend of mine and I smuggled it to watch it on a "girl's night" without the boys. I mean with Brad Pit and Julia Roberts in it we knew they were going to be making fun of us. Turned out to be a pretty darn good dark comedy reminding me in tone of High Fidelity even if the subject matter was entirely different.
Ones that I don't admit publicly to watching but I would like to own are "The Great Race" and "Support Your Local Sheriff"

Titan AE, while a valiant attempt at marrying computer and standard animation, failed in this primary effort.
The fully modelled 3-D graphics do not blend well, as they do in Iron Giant or Treasure Planet and the effect wrenches the viewer out of the reverie of the movie.
At least for me anyway.

Rick Moranis! It was the combination of his character in My Blue Heaven and the one in Parenthood (okay, so basically the same character).
He's very handsome, smart, humble, kind of sexy (he carries a gun but doesn't feel the need to strut), laid back, and is at heart a complete, hopeless romantic.
Rick Moranis in Strange Brew = Not Attractive. But in My Blue Heaven? He dances! He was so cute.

Yup that movie. It does have one of the best old time sword fights, second only to Robin Hood IMO until Princess' Bride's revival of the genre.

Someone is ashamed of "Support Your Local Sheriff?"
This is one of the two greatest comedy westerns ever made (a close second behind "Blazing Saddles"). It is much better than its sequel, "Support Your Local Gunfighter." James Garner is just great in this movie, and has a really strong supporting cast. THe scenes with Garner and Jack Elam or Garner and Bruce Dern are hilarious.
I forgot another one of my guilty pleasures. It came out when I was much younger, and I still watch it whenever I see it on cable. The movie was just another stupid teen sex comedy, but I enjoyed "Zapped!"
A lower budget, low brow, stupid comedy that I will admit to liking was "Hollywood Nights." It stars a really young Michelle Pfieffer and an equally young Tony Danza.

Seconding Katharina, "Zoolander" (well, Owen Wilson is in it, which makes it watchable right there).
Seconding Raia, "The Princess Diaries". So what if the target audience is teenage girls? It's a good movie.

"Road House" - part of the attraction is that a lot of the movie was filmed near where I live. And Swayze, while IMO is not that good-looking, does have that dancer's body...sigh.
"Toys" (Robin Williams) - yeah, this one got really bad reviews, but I like it. So there.

Okay, so I know its been forever since I posted but I'm soooo bored at work. Anyway I'm a mediocre fantacy movie fan from way back so here are the top five guilty pleasures on my list:
5. Willow (just wicked good for cryin out loud) 4. Labrynth (Fell in love with Jennifer Connelly when I was about 10 because of this flick, and David Bowie rules!) 3. Heavy Metal (the late 80's version, with that soundtrack, animation and lack of any perceptable storyline how could you go wrong.) 2. Flash Gordan (Dare I say rediculously good .... no .... but ever so close. I mean come on the entire soundtrack is done by Queen! Awsome movie!) 1. I don't really hate to admit liking any of these ... but a lot of people do, and are ashamed for me.

The first two Terminators, sometimes I'm just in that mood.
By the way, that goes for a lot of other similar movies, when I'm tired and in the mood for mindless action. And then I always end up feeling guilty.

Ok I'm a Disney freak so my all time fave movie is " the one that started it all".... Snow White. I am not ashamed to admit that I enjoy Disney movies, my inner child just tends to be a lot more outer than most people's! I am ashamed to admit that I have watched Blazing Saddles.....once.....the most moronic movie ever made! I will not make that mistake again.
I have seen The Princess Diaries, and I also liked Save the Last Dance and the Anne of Green Gables series.

Blazing Saddles happens to be one of the funniest movies ever made. Mel Brooks is genuis!

I'm pretty sure I'm the only person in either Northern Virginia or Utah who likes ST V: The Final Frontier. I went through various stages of not liking and liking, mostly peer pressure driven. I guess most of my reasons for liking it are fairly personal.

first of all blazing saddles was pretty darn good. No way that movie could be made nowadays without people everywhere getting ticked off. Also Pooka .... your pretty serious about ST V there. Gotta admit, not so good really.

At work again btw, and again really bored. So You all know what that means ... ITS TIME FOR ANOTHER TOP FIVE!!! of course the reason that this ties in is because no one likes for others to know what scares the livin-bejesus out of them. And make no mistake these movies freaked me out.
Best horror flicks ever: 5. Gothica. I know, I know, lame right. Sure most of it was lame but that one scene with Halle all by herself in the asylum, and then that dead girl comes out of nowhere. I screamed, I'll admit it. 4. The Shinning. Not the one with Nicholson though, the remake done by king himself. Most of the movie blew, but there was about five or six scenes throughout that four hour epic that still scare me when I think about them 3. The Others. cool movie, good plot, and Nichol Kidman. But the end was scary. Maybe its because I watched that thing all by myself in a deserted dormatory in the middle of a deserted CU campus late at night. But I had chills. 2. The Exorcist. What? Just because everyone says its freaky means that I can't. It was freaky. Freaked me right out. That scene with the cross-stabbing, dude! 1. Event Horizon. WOW! When I saw this movie there were some kids that snuck into the theatre and sat in front of me and my girl. Halfway through they were literally crying and shaking. SO SCARY!!!
stay tuned ladies and gents, because I imagine that in a few hours I will discover new levels of bordum and be back with a new list.

I think I saw the ending of "Zapped" on TV once. It had Scot Baio and Heather Locklear in it, right? What's funny is they cut out some nudity, I think, but left in a lengthy clause in the credits that at no time in this movie had Heather Locklear appeared nude.
