Okay. It was 103 degrees F where I live on Monday. How hot is it where you live?

Posted by mackillian (Member # 586) on :

Um...I think the high today was about 75 or so. Maybe. It was cloudy with scattered showers.

Posted by Kwea (Member # 2199) on :

82 degrees

It doesn't matter how hot it is. It matters how hot it feels. It may only be 85 here, but it feels like 120.

fiazko - humid, huh? I'm sorry. We had only 9 per cent humidity this afternoon. Makes it feel not so hot, but doesn't do anything to discourage brush and forest fires.

Nick - well, you're just up 99 from me. But it's usually cooler in Sacramento than it is in Fresno, isn't it? What gives?

Tzadik - can I come visit you? I like the cooler weather. Or, can you send your weather to me?

Kwea - sounds okay; but how's the humidity?

mack - not bad, but 75 with showers sounds a little sticky.

lma - It rained today. For about four and a half seconds. Just long enough to have the same effect as dumping water on the rocks in a sauna. Oh yeah, I'm in Ohio.

As much as I hate the moisture, I don't envy you guys your fires.

Yeah. There are two or three in our region at the moment. None of them too huge, yet, and I hope they stay that way. It isn't a happy thing to be driving along and look up at the mountains (which we could actually see today; rare for hot weather) and see, as I did today, a column of smoke rising way up there where it's hard to get at the fires to fight them.

It's cold here, everybody is grumpy but I like this weather even if in June everybody expects something else.

Posted by Nick (Member # 4311) on :

Well, technically LMA, I'm in Elk Grove, south of Sacramento, which is even hotter. Bet yes, it's generally hotter in Fresno.

But it does cool down here at night though. It's nice out right now. It's 1:40 in the morning my time, and it's 62 degrees out. mmmmm

It was 112* today, and was above 30% humidity. Unfortunately, it didn't rain at our place, though we did get to see lots of dark clouds and a huge wall of dust.

I can't wait for the rains to get here...

[Party] (rain dancing smilies)

Edit: Just checked - it's 93 outside with 38% humidity (that's alot for people who see maybe 9-10% for most of the year)

It is suppose to get to the full 100 degrees today (was almost that yesterday) and the current humidity is 93% !!!! Yeah -- not great. (here in Kansas)

Our humidity has been killer high all this summer. Lots of periodic rains to keep it up there.

Probably will brew up some storms with that combination today.

It was 108 yesterday in Vegas at 6:00 pm when I got off work. Hardly any humidity, though.

72 now, high of 80. 91% humidity. It's still a bit foggy at 11 am.

The high yesterday was 98.6—same temperature inside my skin as outside it.

According to the weather network it's currently 70 of your American degrees and 88% humidity here in Toronto.

Last I checked, it was about 91 degrees here, but I don't know if that was as hot as it got. During midday, I'm normally snoozing with my air conditioner on.

Where in Ohio, fiazko? I'm in Columbus, and it's 81° with 65% humidity.

I'd also love to be where Tzadik is, but I don't recall the summer being that cool when I lived over there (although I was in Ostrava rather than Prague).

28 degrees C (81 F), and 65% humidity.

I hate humidity. Give me dry heat any day!

68 F. [Big Grin] I have control over the air-conditioner in my "office" (it's a rather large room that could sit 9 people each with big desks, but for some reason I'm the only one in it [Dont Know] ).

Howeve, it's around 100 outside (high) and I bike 9 miles to and from work. [Grumble]

88* F, 48% humidity. Feels 90.

Actually, feels 73*. No windows even. Happy new software, though, so life is good. [Smile]

I want it to stay like this forever even though it's raining.

2 days ago we had the worst summer storm in Edmonton memory (or so the radio station announced). We had golf ball sized hail and major flooding. West Edmonton Mall alone has damage in the 10 million dollar range. Luckily my house is in the southeast of the city and we didn't get hit quite as hard. They had snowplows out plowing the hail and I heard that there was an actual ice storm in parts of the city and large chunks of ice were forming.

Then yesterday it was in the mid to high 20s (celsius). Today it is 23 with thunderstorms expected this evening.

sixties here and not raining...yet.

98 degrees on my way back from court. I was going to stop and buy some milk and juice, but my car was overheating. [Mad]

So far the summer (if one can call it that) here in Germany has been downright cold. It's currently 57 F in Muenster. The high today was about 59 F. It snow in Bavaria last night and temperatures were about 40 F there today. If you've go extra heat, please send it our way.

Well, then, our German foreign exchange student that went home recently should be enjoying being home! Since it was 101 F the day he arrived here last year, and nearly 100 the day he left to return home, the cool weather there is probably welcomed!

*blows heat toward Germany*

What Dan said!

I've turned all my fans to high, and my daughter's camp trip to the zoo was canceled due to the heat.

Bleah.
