35 years ago, Niel Armstrong stood on the surface of another world, the culmination of a decades long push of research and development which produced Tang, Personal Computers, and even got us some data on long-term exposure to micro-gravity.

Last year, on this, my favorite day, I posted my first topic 34 Years and All I Got Was This Tang. It exists only as a memory, having dropped off some months ago, but I was greeted, very kindly, by CT. She warned me about some aspects of this place, which soon spawned my notorious second topic: I've been warned..

And so here's a toast to Neil, Buzz, and Hatrack. Choke down a Tang Screwdriver tonight!

And thanks for a year of fun! [Cool]

For some reason, I read one word of the thread title to say "pic" instead of "PC" so I was expecting a photograph of the Armstrong stepping on the moon......

Today is my cousin's 35th birthday.

His mom sat up all day because it stopped the contractions, and she wanted to see the moon landing.

She gave birth that night.

Hmm. What's a madras? How would I use Tang instead of Orange Juice? (I admit, vodka and Tang has a bitter undertaste... )

Madras: Vodka, Orange Juice and Cranberry Juice.

I much prefer it to a Screwdriver (Vodka and Orange Juice) or a Cape Cod (Vodka and Cranberry Juice).

Modify portions to suit your tastes. Of course, I find myself mixing orange juice and Cranberry juice just for the flavor now. [Big Grin]

Wow, I always thought you'd been here longer than me. But my life was really stressful and busy at this time last year. Now it is merely stressful. [The Wave]

No, no, I've decided it's your birthday. From now on. Better mark it on your calendar.

pssst! es

Notice in that link how they spelled Mr. Armstrong's first name? You might want to make it match in your first post.... [Big Grin]
