Sometimes life's not all you were told it would be. No job, no money, no girl... Big problem... So, you need something to remind you that life is, indeed, worth all the effort. So here's my (incomplete) list of movies that make me want to live every second of my life:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Groundhog Day - Sometimes, a second look at things helps you understand their beauty
Spider-Man 2 - Being a hero, what could you want more from life ? (a soul-mate, but you get that in the process)
Big Fish - "Remember son, many a good story has been ruined by over verification." (not from the movie, but would fit in just perfect)
Freaky Friday - How about if you had to cook and your mother played computer games all day ?!
Wonder Boys - Ignore reality. There's nothing you can do about it.
Patch Adams - "See what no one else sees. See what everyone else choses not to see. Out of fear, conformity or lazyness. See the whole world anew each day."
Shawshank Redemption - "Get busy living, or get busy dying..."
Gattaca - "You are the authority on what is not possible, aren't you, Irene ? They've got you looking so hard for any flaw, that after a while that's all that you see. For whatever it's worth, I'm here to tell you that it is possible. It is possible..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

May you live all the days of your life !

Paris When it Sizzles --
"You really enjoy it, don't you?"
"What?"
"Life."

"Miracle"

finally watched it today. meant to see it on the big screen.

great flick, while it is so Disney.

Kurt, bless his heart, gives one of the best performances I've ever seen. A lot like Tombstone in the gutteral, but better?

the consistent use of the announcer voice was an extremely nice and well-thought-out touch.

Remember the Titans chokes me up every time. Denzel is the man.

well, he's certainly no "King Kong" and Jackson's sure to prove that.

Lilo and Stitch. "This is my family. It is little...and broken. But still good. Yeah, still good."

I thought Lilo and Stitch was purty darn good, surprisingly enough.

Not as funny as Ice Age, but kinda mature (barely) for a disney flick.

"The Pricess Bride" - 'My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Now, I'll kill you!"

I've become increasingly curmudgeony about Disney films these days, but Lilo and Stitch made me bawl. And this was on a plane full of people!

Lilo and Stitch got me to bawling, too. Man, I love that movie.

Not being a fan of watching many films more than once, the only others I can think of are Amelie and Life is Beautiful.

Amelie is probably the most magical movie ever.

The Big Lebowski

"The Dude Abides"

Agree with a lot of this, and add:

Raising Arizona
"The doctor explained that her insides were a rocky place where my seed could find no purchase"

And because it's my dad's favorite,
Gone with the Wind
He says that whenever life gets him down, he can think of that movie and realize "well, it's not THAT bad." Though I find that hard to believe, since he has been married 3 times, fled a war torn country, and lost a little daughter. I guess he's never learned that the love of his life was a construct of his imagination.

The part where he's in the woods all alone at night and says "Lost!"

That's when I lost it.
