Hello again, Hatrackers. I'm a rabid anime and manga (japanese comic books) fan. My latest manga discovery is Mugen no Jyuunin (Blade of the Immortal)(OBS: Hi, Ryuko! Do you know this one?). At last this wonderful series is being published in portuguese.
The storyline and the drawings are amazing. You can check about it here .

Now...I know it was (or is being) published in the U.S. for quite a long time, so I'd like to ask (in case any hatracker knows the series) how many numbers were alredy published? Is it still being published in Japan? It was really difficult to find this kind of information, even googlin' for it.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the tip, I will definitely check it out next time I hit Borders.

My recent anime obsession is Naruto. Anyone else read or watch that series?

I do! I have every issue of Shonen Jump that's been published so far... Many of them off the newsstand (probably about half...)

Anyway, Eduardo, I have heard of it, but I've never read it. I'll see if I can take a look at it when I get a chance, though. And with a little research, i can probably tell you what you want to know.

Later: It is published by Dark Horse. They have published 12 Trade Paperbacks (which is just a fancy word for "book") with a 13th forthcoming. Yup. And they're still publishing it in comic book format.

And from what I can tell, it's still going on in Japan as well.

Cool, a fellow Naruto fan. [Smile]

I just love this series. It's a soap opera for male adults who don't like to admit they like soap operas. [Blushing]

Thanks, Ryuko! And thanks Porter for the bump!

Hehehe...my girlfriend will freak out. She won't believe when I tell her that a Manga is being published since 1994 and still going strong. [Smile]

Well, it seems I'll have to read 10+ years of Blade of the Immortal goodness. There are worse sacrifices in life. [Wink]

Yeah, some mangas just go on forever... Like KochiKame, it's been going on since the 70's.

Beren: Yeah, it's pretty damn cool. I am starting to really like Gaara. [Smile] Are you reading it in Shounen Jump or in another way?

Hey, Ryuko, is Naruto (the anime, not the manga, which I have no way to get) any good?

Starting to like Gaara? Hmmmmm.... you must be far ahead of me in the storyline. [Smile]

I read the first few volumes at Borders, and the rest at Japanese bookstores.

There is a link where you can download the most up to date Naruto Manga. It has taken me a lot of willpower to resist downloading it, not only due to copyright concerns, but also because I kind of enjoy the excitement of reading anime with fellow anime geeks in a bookstore. [Smile]

But since Eduardo doesn't have any way to get it... here's the link.

this page.

I stumbled across Mugen no Jyuunin a few years ago while randomly following a trail of links which started at the original Anipike website. Read a couple online, then forgot the title and the linked-to-website so I couldn't relink to the series.
Thanks for reminding me.

Thanks, Beren! At last, Naruto goodness! [The Wave]

No problem. Just promise to have some patience with the series. The first couple of volumes are, well, a little stupid. But the story grows on you when you get to know each character's backgrounds a little bit more. [Smile]

Ok, I will. [Smile]

O.O They should have taken that down!! I mean, you can always find stuff like that in Kazaa and stuff, but the website should have been taken down. Fansubs like that make me sad.

Well...many fansubbers I know take archives down, after it's licensed. I guess they should.

But...well...since I'm downloading the files right now, guess that's makes me a hypochrite (tsc...damn spelling. Can someone correct me?) [Dont Know]
