Currently reading Brighton Rock, by Mr. Graham Greene. Interesting--gangs in seaside English holiday towns. You'd expect them to just maybe steal your crumpets and tea, but no . . .

I'm a good way in but I've got a problem. This is for summer reading and we were asked to highlight lines having to do with theme. It's very difficult, however, to find the theme of a book until you've read it. Which means I'd have to read it again, highliter in hand. And I'd prefer to spend that time finishing my Spanish, etcetera.

I've done searches, yes, and only come up with "Catholic guilt" as a theme, and a scarce one at that. If you've had this sort of project before, some help, would be very much appreciated/

Oh, and right now I'm highliting lines that look likely, whihc I'll go back to later.
