*Hears door creak open*
*Turns around and checks for ghosts*
*Grabs baseball bat*

How would you check for ghosts, anyways? And what good would a baseball bat do?

*Smells...marshmallows?*
*Calls Dan Ackroyd*

You take the baseball bat on the off-chance it's not a ghost.

You bring a baseball bat because if you brough a vampire bat, well, they may join sides against you, professional curtesy and all.

Bring a camera. Ghosts are deathly afraid of cameras, which is why there are so few pictures of them.

That's true, Dan_Raven. Ghosts are destroyed when you take a picture of them. Just check out the game "Fatal Frame" (Playstation II) [Big Grin]

Kickin. I love you, Eduardo, I was just about to make that same joke.

Edit: Wait. You stole my joke. I don't love you anymore.

I have a picture of me holding up a christmas present i got, and there is a ghost behind me. I'll have to find it and link it.

It's ok, Ryuko...as long you don't take a picture of me. [Angst]

Doesn't it have to be a really old, enchanted camera?

No, no... it's the flash that destroys them, I guess. (I feel soooo nerdy. I guess I'll climb some trees to get a coconut, fight a snake or something a third-world denizen should be doing).

It probably has something to do with that whole "having a picture taken captures your soul" bit.

Then why is her camera so old and weird? Or did she pick it up in the house? It's been a long time since I played Fatal Frame.

Side note: My friends (dudes) and I like to get together and play scary games when they first come out. We were playing Fatal Frame and waiting for pizza, but we forgot it was on its way. During a particularly scary part, the pizza guy knocked loudly on the door and we ALL screamed! It's the first time I've ever genuinely screamed out loud, like in horror movies, and it was so funny to hear all the big, bad men scream with little boy voices. You should have seen the startled look on the pizza guy's face! He's like, "Ummm, it's just pizza."

I was like that when I first played "Silent Hill", waaaay back.
That was a scary game.

Holy crap. Silent Hill is the first game we ever played during our get-togethers. It's what started the tradition. We still have all-nighters everytime a "Silent Hill" sequel comes out. I can't wait for number four!

I like to creep my husband out randomly by squeaking like the transparent baby-monster. I can do a pretty uncanny impression.

I remembered...when we were playing "Fatal Frame", we used to stay up all night long. Then, some of us would sleep the morning away, while others went home.

The first day we played, almost everyone were sleeping, when one of my friens screamed "MY EYEEEEEEES!" (if you played Fatal Frame, you know what it means).

Tsc. Everybody jumped. Most screamed. Including me.

BWAAA HA HA HAAA HA HA!

That is so funny. That sounds exactly like our group. You guys should come up here and have an all-nighter with us! Hatrack Scary Game Party!

Oh, and remember in Silent Hill (I can't remember which, either one or two, I think one) there were gurneys to mark where the pits were? My friend Dylan was playing and turned into one of those gurneys, and another friend, Daniel, yelled, "And this shall be a sign unto you! Do not...umm...go that way."

It was made even more funny by the fact that the guy is pretty religious, and was embarrassed at the fact that he followed his gut instinct with the joke by quoting the Bible. He is still embarrassed about it to this day. Eh, we do stupid things when we're really tired. [Big Grin] We still think it's funny and quote it at every get-together.
