Just buy the second one, Red Prophet, and the maps will be in that one too.
I think it's in all of them, so but the rest of the series from here....how appropriate!

For the second one, are you meaning Carthage City?

And for the first (nearest to the river) are you meaning where Peggy first, as a child, helps with Alvin being born?

Do you mean Vigour Church?

Posted by Farmgirl (Member # 5567) on :

No - Vigor Church is where he grows up. I think the city on the river by where he was born was actually also called Hatrack..... (wish I had the book)

yeah. the city by the river IS called hatrack.... and there's a city like... ionno.... 100 miles east from it? no clue.
I remember that there's a city called Camelot down around Florida...
and then you reminded me of Carthage City... and Hatrack... that's about it...

The town of Hatrack is in the eastern region of Hio Territory, not far from the United States border.

Carthage City is in southern Wobbish Territory, a little under two hundred miles southwest of Hatrack.

Vigor Church is in western Wobbish Territory, about a hundred miles northwest of Carthage City.

Camelot is the capital of the English monarchy-in-exile, in Raleigh Colony. (In fact, it is on the site occupied by Charleston, South Carolina in the real world.)

The closest town to Hatrack (the town, as opposed to the river) is Dekane, about fifty miles southeast, in Suskwahenny, in the United States.

(God, I love maps. [Big Grin] )

Looking at the map, I think hatrack is where they crossses, where Little Pegy saw the river trying to kill them.

Carthage City is down south quite a bit.

Just double checked, adn the town is called Hatrack River...go figure..."D

At the end of Book ! Taleswapper and Makepeace are talking and the smith makes a comment about readin and writing that said that if a man needs towrite down his promises then he isn't honest.

He finishs by saying " We got lawyers in Hatrack these days.".

In that chapter when talking to Peggy Taleswapper notices that Peggy is longing for life outside of "Hatrack River"....and the way it is phrased mkes it clear that that is the actual name of the town, although on the map is is labeled Hatrack.
