Since us poor college students here in Baton Rouge can't get up enough money to go to the Florida picnic, we're having a Louisiana Shinda over Labor Day weekend.

Activites are rather open at the moment.

So far, people (hopefully) attending are:

[Hatrackers]
Toretha
Correlle
fyfe
Averadu

[Potential Hatrackers/Friends of Ours]
Lucy
Stacy
Lacy
Meghann
Grace

Current activites planned include:

Toretha's awesome cookies
Watching Ella Enchanted
Rolling down the Indian Mounds on Campus

Snicker, the chick-flick notwithstanding, that actually sounds interesting.

Although since there are so many of you, car-pooling would make the trip that much cheaper all around.

... hey.. why is there no Louisiana clump yet in the Factions thread? *grumbles and takes names down* - Ella Enchanted looked cute, I think i'll watch it by my lonesome here in Oregon.

*edit* - Oops.. I already did get you guys.. *apologizes*

Actually, we're all concentrated in one spot! hehe.

It's on the beautiful LSU campus, and we have plenty of (floor) space for sleeping room! ::giggles::

We *might* have two guys with us, and we also have an extensive anime collection and a blockbuster card.

The only downside would be that my dorm doesn't allow male overnight guests, but I'm sure we can find some sort of boarding for any males who wish to attend.

Come on, y'all! Come visit!

[Edit to Add]: I also believe that Insanity Plea should come down and cook for us.

Ya know, Labor day is way too soon, but I'd totally love to come to a con in Louisiana sometime. Sometime in the winter, by choice. [Wink]

Hatrack is a wonderful excuse to travel.

Surrounded by women who want to watch anime.

Geeze, I picked a heck of a time to lose my inner geek. [Big Grin]

Princess Mononoke?
Spirited Away?

I OWN those movies. Miyazaki is one of my favorite directors.

Ever seen Castle in the Sky?

Even if I wasn't abso-fragging-lutely broke, I promised my cousin I'd help her move furniture Saturday morning.

If the hurricane washes away the Gainesville picnic, then it's relocated to Birminham, which is 1) closer to Red Stick, Louisiana then Gainesville and 2)includes free lodging.

Please leave this option open for the Red Stick picnic. I'd love to see you guys. Final decision on city of location will be made Friday afternoon. [Smile]
