This sounds great! We'll teach straight women how to dress like, um, men . . .

"Get rid of all that crap. You just need a pair of jeans and a pair of sneakers. Here, have some flannel."

A whole episode will run approximately 3.5 minutes.

Posted by TMedina (Member # 6649) on :

The gay theme notwithstanding, it's not a bad idea.

Shows like "Trading Spaces" and so on demonstrate that there are plenty of people with little or no taste.

"Oprah" routinely does a "home makeover" episode on her show involving house remodeling.

Now granted, I don't know if they'll have the same wealth of humor they find in dealing with straight guys, but I'll watch the first season anyway. [Big Grin]

*just stands slack jawed and stares at the horror for a second*

And you say my dobies are bad?!? Good lord, man. Can't you hear the dogs howling? The two-headed calves mooing? The old men rending their clothes and pouring ashes on their head?

I think...I think I've lost my boyish innocence.

[Cry]

Posted by TMedina (Member # 6649) on :

It's about time you found a girlfriend Sax.

Oh, wait...sorry. Wrong innocence. [Big Grin]

Trevor,

Why do you sign your posts when we can see who its from right on the side of your post?

--Storm

Posted by TMedina (Member # 6649) on :

Because if I don't sign my post, I feel like I'm not standing behind what I say.

If it's important enough for me to say it among my assembled peers, I think it's important enough for me to admit to it.

And while I do realize my name is on the left, it lacks a certain statement, in my opinion.

-Trevor

Posted by Icarus (Member # 3162) on :

Yes. The statement: "Look! I'm redundant! I'm redundant!"

[Razz]

Posted by TMedina (Member # 6649) on :

Duly noted.

-Trevor

Posted by Storm Saxon (Member # 3101) on :

Well, it's good to know you stand behind what you say. I mean, I have to admit that I've often wondered, just how much does Trevor stand behind what he writes? A little? A lot? It's good that you stand 100% behind what you write.

Personally, I absolutely stand behind nothing I say, in case you were wondering. My posts will fall apart on you at the most inopportune moment and probably kill the family pet if you don't watch them carefully. Maybe it's because I farm out all my posts to third world sweat shops. Maybe it's just because the product concept is kind of bad to begin with. In any case, I can't vouch for them.

" No, you idiot. That's not baby powder, that's paprika. Ahhhh! Take that."

I don't stand behind what Storm says either, because it usually smells.

Posted by Storm Saxon (Member # 3101) on :

Well, staying in front of what I write isn't the thing so much as standing upwind. Preferably with a gas mask on and a sturdy hazmat suit.

Posted by Icarus (Member # 3162) on :

Dear Trevor,

I think you should not merely sign your posts, but use some sort of parting statement, like "Love," or "Sincerely," or "Yours truly," or "Your friend," on every post.

In fact, I think maybe all of us should do that.

Your friend,
Joe

Dear Dagonee,

Have you considered putting your name at the beginning of your posts, and maybe once or twice in the middle as well? That way, if people doze off while reading one of your posts, they can quickly get a reminder of whose post it is?

Best wishes,
Joe
