So, my parents both lurk on Hatrack. It started from dkw sending the whole family links to the threads where she & Bob were teasing everyone about starting dating/getting engaged, and I think kinda morphed into a way to keep tabs on us.

I had dinner with my dad last night, and mentioned that more pictures (Kama's) had been posted. He perked right up and said "Oh! The shopping cart ones?" I had to say no, those are Marek's, and the roll of film hasn't been finished yet.

Anyway, just thought I'd remind you... it's the beginning of the new school year, surely there's something around to take pictures of...? For the sake of family harmony? (Now, the anticipation level is high enough, that I'm betting they turn out completely unflattering to me... but I can live with that. [Smile] )

Things to waste film on:

A dime.
A hacky sack.
A bottle of your favorite drink.
A hacky sack resting atop a bottle of your favorite drink.
Your room, from every angle possible.
Your feet, naked.
Your feet, socked.
Your feet, shoed.
The sky.
A box of tissue.
A mirror.
The faucet in the kitchen.
Your carpet.
A nearby wall.
A piece of fruit.

I think we could even find people willing to pay to have it developed for you;)

She and her family is not the only ones that are wanting said pictures. I am also interested in getting them.

Goat, please tell me you didn't only take ONE picture of yourself out of that whole roll. And get it developed! *stern look*

Well i am going to the Gainsville Gathering this weekend, and leave for said trip tomarrow, so maybe i can find something worth photo graphing there.

Posted by Marek (Member # 5404) on :

Also i have like 15 pictures from Kamacon, and i don't think that many feature ths shopping cart, and that i recall only one even features me (the rest are better for that [Razz] ), so I'm not really sure why people are so anxious to see the ill conceived and poorly executed pictures i shot. [Dont Know]

Ah! You're going? How cool! I'm so happy for you guys! Just try not to get hurricaned.

[Smile] Thank you. I'm sure there will be fun and exciting things to take pictures of in Gainsville.

I know you only took one, maybe two, pics of the shopping cart, but you're the only person who took any. And nobody took any the next day when I was pushing Eddie, Andrea, and Ken around. It's just that it made such a good story, especially the going past the bus stop part, that we want the visuals as a reminder. It was really funny.

I wouldn't expect you to be on too many pics on your own camera... it rarely works that way. I'm glad mack got at least one good one of you, and some other people got pics of mack. All too often the photographer ends up not being in any of the pics, and that's no fun.

Anyway, have a good time this weekend! I might get to see punwit again, I'm excited. [Smile]

??

I thought it was kind of a foregone conclusion it was cancelled.

Take pictures of your beautiful nieces and nephews! [Smile]

Icarus, I am going to go to Birmingham, and hang out with Tatiana (Anne Kate) with or without the rest of you, but last i knew the florida part was not definately cancelled [Razz]

And Raia, I have [Wink] I got one or two of Kylie holding Angelina, which i am very anxious to see (if you would like I'll show it to you once scanned). Maybe i can manage a few equally cute ones if this weekend does not finishy up the camera.

Kylie is a precious child.

Angelina I haven't actually met, but I've seen pictures! [Big Grin]

Has the shopping cart story been related somewhere on Hatrack already? If so, where? If not, tell us the story!

Posted by Koga (Member # 5646) on :

Well maybe when you get back to the states you can stop by some time, and we can arrange for you to meet Angelina (and any others who arrive by then [Razz] ). After all the pictures just do not do her justice, especially if she smiles at you. [Big Grin]

Awwwwwwwwwww, I bet!!

I think kylie has only recently caught that when i talk to my friends online, it does not always me i am talking to nu-ni anymore. [Razz]

But we have gotten her to IM Tatiana a few times, which was cute.

Awwwwww... that's cute. "Nani" was SO adorable.

Posted by Koga (Member # 5646) on :

Yes she was [Wink] .

But seriously, i have been babysitting or helping babysit, or visiting with my neices and nephews, a ton lately, which has been really fun.

Also Neomon, i beleive the shopping cart story is on one of the kamacon threads.

Posted by Raia (Member # 4700) on :

Yes, I think it is, because I remember reading it somewhere...

Posted by PSI Teleport (Member # 5545) on :

Seems like shopping carts are often a feature of Hatrack-type get-togethers.

Posted by Raia (Member # 4700) on :

*giggle* She's got a point.

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

Do you know how many KamaCon threads there are? That was less than helpful, guys. [Wink]

It's here. Although it's mentioned and elaborated on other places as well, I think.

See, rrr? The only way I could take a lot of pictures of myself is if I was using somebody else's camera. And I'm not.

*bump*

So, you said something about a Christmas gift...

Posted by Kama (Member # 3022) on :

Does Christmas start on December 16 in America?

Posted by TheTick (Member # 2883) on :

Christmas started on the 5th for me, thanks to some odd scheduling of trips. [Razz]

Isn't it great to know people are thinking of you? [Big Grin]

Come to think of it, I have no idea what the heck Goatee looks like. For some reason, I've always pictured him with facial hair.

Posted by PSI Teleport (Member # 5545) on :

You know what I've always wondered? If I'm the first person to have called him Goatee.

Posted by Zotto! (Member # 4689) on :

Hmm. Dunno. I think I picked it up from Kylie, who mighta picked it up from you.

Now develop those pictures, Goatee, you by-all-evidence-facially-haired pansy you! *crackwhip*

Posted by Marek (Member # 5404) on :

I usually called him goat boy, for a while anyway. [Dont Know]

[Wave] Merry Christmas!

you too [Wave]

your gift is almost complete [Wink]

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

Yay! [Kiss]

Posted by Marek (Member # 5404) on :

but um, do to heavy snow between here and the place i get photos developed, it may be a few days late. [Blushing]

Posted by Da_Goat (Member # 5529) on :

Sorry, Zotto. No facial hair save the 5'oclock shadows, sometimes. But I'll usually shave after I take a shower, and I usually take a shower two or three times a day.

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

[Smile] No worries. I'll just have something to look forward to for after Christmas. Help with the post-holiday blues.

You could take a picture of Vertigo.

Mo Rocca came to UVM last spring as a speaker for the outgoing senior class. He was tasked at one point with photographing vertigo. His interpretation of vertigo was a shot looking down into a flushing toilet as taken from standing on the toilet seat. In socks and possibly no pants. I wish I could find the silly thing, since it was a good picture. My google-fu is broken, though.

yep, and there are even some pictures of the neices, and nephews, and a sertain sloth on the role that a few other hatrackers might want to see. [Big Grin]
