Yup. I did this last year, and had so much fun that I'm doing it again!

My actual birthday's on the 15th. My sisters are taking me out on the 11th, and I have my neice's birthday party on the 19th. Other than that, I am pretty flexible on the date. I was thinking the 18th, but if the 25th works better for folks I can change it then. Jatraqueros make up the majority of my friends these days, so I'm willing to work around your schedules. [Smile]

It will be at my condo, on the southwest side of Chicago. I am six miles directly south of Midway Airport, if that helps you envisualise it.

Warning for the allergic: I have a cat.

Hope to see you there!

I knew there was a reason I liked you, Xnera (I mean, other than that you're a generally fab person, of course)... my birthday is also the 15th. Virgoans rock!

Sounds fun - the evening of the 25th should be fine for us, but I'm not sure about the 18th. We may or may not be going down to Valpo that weekend (they're dedicating the new library).

The 25th is better for us, too. We've got family plans on the 18th.

The 25th it is, then!

Also, anyone who needs a place to crash is more than welcome to stay the night. I've got a decent amount of floor space. Plus I actually sleep on the couch, so you could have the bed. [Smile]

If you have a bed, why do you sleep on the coutch?

I started sleeping on the couch last year after I broke up with my boyfriend. I was having terrible insomnia caused by a too-active mind, so I would lull myself to sleep by watch Star Wars or LOTR with the sound turned down low. It worked. [Smile] And then I got so used to sleeping on the couch that I never moved back to the bed.

*bump*

Reminder: the party is THIS SATURDAY!!! I will be supplying pizza and generic soda (no diet, though, so if you like diet, you must bring your own). If anyone wants to bring other munchies, you are more than welcome to.

Come whenever. But if you plan to arrive before, say, noonish, let me know if advance so I don't wander off on errands.

The frantic-last-minute cleaning starts tonight. [Angst] Wish me luck--I'm gonna need it.

There's a small possibility I may be bringing a child with me =( My mom's working, my dad's going off to play paintball, my sister has company, and the kids' father is being a jerk. Heather (my 11 year old) will go to a friend's house for the afternoon, but I don't have a similar alternative for Missy if Chris doesn't get his head out of his butt. But I'm still working on it!

Wish I knew some of my neighbors better.

Good news! No kids after all! My mom said that for the relatively short amount of time I'll be out, she can delay most of the typical calls she gets on a Saturday. Yay me!

Seeing as this was posted Wednesday night, I think this is an unusual definition of "last minute."

Getting up at 5 am on Saturday with a rake and shovel - that's last minute!

You have not seen how messy my house is. Trust me -- a three day start is last minute cleaning in this case.

And no, I still haven't really started cleaning. I'm obviously on one of my self-destructive kicks. I hate it when I get like this.

Would it be too late for Bernard and I to RSVP for this? [Smile]

Not at all! The more, the merrier!

(and yes, I have FINALLY started cleaning.)

NO!!!!!

It IS to late!

*jealous*

I want to go!
