So, this guy tried to pick me up this weekend, and it turned out he is a pilot for Northwest Airlines. The first thought that came into my head was "Free plane tickets to all Hatrack gatherings." Am I maybe a little obsessed?

No, of course not. Nope. Not at all.

I don't see anything wrong with that, well besides the fact that you are addicted...
muwahhahahha!

Actually, I live in Minneapolis, which is NWA's headquarters and primary hub. If you want to fly anywhere, you're pretty much flying Northwest.
So no, I shot him down for a completely unrelated reason.

An Insturment rating..to better navigate when the lights are out, right?
ELJay, why did you shoot him down? Was he a vet, and you wanted him to feel at home?

Yes, do tell, in great detail. *frantically scribbling notes*

He didn't ask you to be his auto-pilot did he?

One-track mind

I can't possibly be the only depraved pervert here who thought of airplane bathrooms. Followed closely with seething envy for the pilot.

punwit! I hope that was a reference to his inflated ego, and nothing more!

I suppose, guys like that seem to like to blow their own horn alot.

Poor guy.

Lalo, I have no problem with whichever way you decide to swing. If your looking for help from me I have to tell you that I have a problem trying to get energetic with someone sporting the same plumbing as myself.
Edit to say that Lalo just redacted a proposal to me that occaisioned this reply. I'm of a mind to leave my response even though he has deleted his post.

I'm glad to see Lalo taking the lead in something.

Heh, that's why I took it down. It sounded far too serious a proposal -- and when I've promised myself to Sean Connery, Leslie Nielsen, and Eddie when that day comes, it seems kinda rude to offer myself to you, too. I mean, dude, you're cute for one of a very ugly gender, but over Sean Connery? Aren't we vain...
For now, anyway, my heart belongs to Sara and her nurse uniform. Sigh...

Lalo she's a DOCTOR, a least get it right!

I refuse to answer this question on the grounds that it may incriminate me.
Actually, based on the turn this thread has taken, any answer would probably incriminate me. So I will take the road less traveled, and keep my yap shut.

Actually, Ryuko, I don't. We broke up about 2 weeks ago. Good guess, though!

You are an exemplary defender of the virtue of my degree. Not that there is anything wrong or less with a nursing degree, of course.
AnnaJo, I vow to defend your professionalism as a Scientist and Engineer as well, to the best of my ability. And Champion Breeder, too.
Say ... you wear a lot of hats, don't you? Very ... spy-like ... very ... 007-like.
AJ is a spy.
She has a license to kill.
And definite martini preferences.
(nice to see ya, woman!)

Doctors have access to nurse uniforms!
Or at least they do in my dreams... Oh doctor, wasn't I supposed to turn my head and cough?
Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :
Martini preferences? really? AJ, we have not gotten to drink together yet, really. We should remedy that at the next opportunity.
Edit: So not being able to sleep at 3:30 AM I come bak and re-read, and realize Sara is still talking 007. Never mind. But I'll still buy you a martini if you ever come this way to visit that friend of yours in Rochester. Or for any other reason.

Eljay- My apologies if I contributed to derailing your one track mind. Passing up the chance for a one-liner usually exceeds what little restraint I possess.
Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :
No worries, punwit, and no apologies. You're not going to offend me. And taking the 5th was really just my way of saying "none of your business" to the board in general.
Posted by punwit (Member # 6388) on :
I didn't really think I had offended you and once again I just buried a little joke in my half-joking apology.

Hmmmm..I think I may be on to something here....
ELJay, you of course my take a fifth on this...preferably of vodka, it goes down smooth...
