I always read it like Japanese, but I could be wrong.

Actually, I *think* that it is pronounced something like SHE-go-say, but I'm actually not certain. [Dont Know]

Thanks everyone! I've been having an overly stressful week, and this thread has really cheered me up. Mr. Funny, thanks for starting it. You're a great brother. T, Annie, and Zotto!, thanks for the nice things you said about me. I enjoyed meeting you so much, and I hope to do so again someday! I really wish I had been more alert and feeling better at the signing. You guys are all awesome.

blacwolve, I've enjoyed our IM conversations.

Thanks, Elizabeth! I usually pronounce my screen name she-go-say, though sometimes I say it shih-go-say. Either way, it is a Japanese word I made up (patterned after nisei), so I try to get as close to a proper Japanese pronunciation as possible.

I am lucky because I got to meet Shigosei in person! (And the very mature Mr. Funny too, not to mention their totally cool mom.) She is lovely, intelligent, and fun to talk to.
