it's 1030 here, and the eclipse is at totality. Just different time zones, man.

up in the sky,
gravity bends darkness
light takes a rest,
the moon is a gift.
Yo! Be the best!

It was easily visible on the way home (about 40 minutes ago, shortly after totality), and REALLY COOL! But as we got closer to home, the clouds blocked it more and more. Can't see it at all now.

At one stop light, it was visible just framed in the gap between a couple clouds. Too bad I didn't have a camera -- it looked incredible.

We've got total cloud cover here, so we can't really see anything. Thanks a lot.

Not that it matters, because according to this article, "The more important and photogenic partial and total phases will be visible from all of North America with the exception of Alaska." Thanks another lot.

I sat outside for over an hour and a hald watching it, its really nice. Did anyone see the meteor falling at about 10:15ish? It was cool, right under the eclipsing moon. Made my night.

I saw a lunar rainbow this morning. I think I did, anyway-- I can't really see that well at 4:30 am.

Awwwww, I missed it! [Frown]

But I think that was about 3:00 or 4:00 am my time. Gah.

If you missed it, we've got pictures of it on our Space news page.

It was very cool. It was just starting when my daughter was going to bed so we went out (in the snow) and showed it to her. She thought it was pretty neat.

It was fun showing the progress accross the Moon's face to my six-year old. He won't soon forget that dusky orange ball either. [Cool]

We kept going outside to watch the progress...I got a picture, but I doubt it will turn out.
