And so are my parents, for taking me to see him live tonight! It was a blast, very funny... and even more amusing because my parents and I are of opposing political affiliations, and so it was funny to see which jokes I laughed at that they didn't, they laughed at that I didn't, and we all laughed at.
For anyone who doesn't know, Mark Russell is a comedian and political satirist. A big part of his act is singing parody songs while accompanying himself on the piano. He does live PBS specials, and I remember watching them with my dad when I was a kid.
Anyway, it was a great evening, and if you ever get a chance to see him live I highly recommend it. If you don't, watch those PBS Specials!

I did kinda feel bad about posting this knowing you would read it, sister dearest.
But not quite bad enough not to.

You saw him live...
...you must die by my hand.

Seriously, though, that's really cool. I've been watching those PBS specials for as long as I can remember.

Cool! So that means you're coming to the US... do I get my piano concert before you kill me?
Edit: Oh, and according to his web site, he's been doing the PBS specials for 27 years. Wow!

He's great.
I'm jealous.
But it's clear that I'm marrying into the right family! You all have excellent taste.
