Okay...I've counted. In the last week (actually, since Thursday), I've had about 5 4-packs of sarsaparilla. (I think I've had 17, really, as I gave one to a friend and two to my siblings).
Man, if there was such a thing as heaven in a bottle for kids under 21, this would be it. Fo' sho'.

We can get really really really good sarsaparilla here. It comes all thick in a bottle and you just add water. Granted, it's not the fizzy drink you get in civilization, but dagnabbit, it's sooooooo good. It's like a in my mouth.

I think that must be part of the fun of living overseas - perfecting a root beer or sasparilla recipe (we used tonic water for ours).

But we have all sorts of weird stuff - relatively speaking - to drink here. Like Nelli. Oh, and tropical juices are so common here - but that only makes sense since I live in the tropics - like mango, papaya, pineapple, guava, or passion fruit juice. Mmmm. Mango. My favorite.
Oh, and for fizzy drinks - my favorite is Portello. Yumm.
