The part I'm bothered by is the idea that for these provisional ballots, the Democratic party wants to file suit. I don't think the Republican party should have been given the lists in other counties -- if a provisional ballot has problems that go unresolved by the person who cast it, it *should* be thrown out. Parties shouldn't, IMO, get involved with *reminding* people to take care of it.

And I'm convinced that a number of those ballots *should* be thrown out. I've had my own thrown out, in fact, in past elections, because I either forgot to sign the envelope, or my husband signed for me because I was out of town. I got a notice in the mail saying that my ballot had problems, and that I could take care of it with the enclosed form to the listed address by the specified date.

I guess at this point I just think the parties should stay out of it until it's all over. And that includes hovering over the people who are counting them. Geez louise.
