...goes with a wine-colored shirt?

Posted by katharina (Member # 827) on :

Dark navy, if it matches the coat. Or, a tie of the same color, if you want to look like Regis.

Man... you're gonna regret those posts when it wears off... And Jebus you've either had a really really bad day and feel the need to capitalize everything and attack everything in sight or you're on some kind of mind altering substance. Becuase you have 2000 posts and haven't been kicked I'm gonna assume substance abuse. From what I've seen your posts are normally rather inteligent or witty and fun. Not the current typical dumb@$$ trolling you are posting.

Thanks for the advice, Katharina. I have an interview coming up and my previous interview shirt got ruined in the wash, so I need to switch to another shirt. I had no idea what to wear for a tie.

Do we get pictures? You'll look quite dashing, I'm sure.

The sleeves shrank, or my arms grew. The rest of it seems to fit the same as before.

Jebus seriously, snap out of it man. You're being a typical troll. And its offending and hurting people. I KNOW you don't normally post this way, so either stop posting until you don't feel the need to do it, or stop doing it.

What color is your jacket? Pants?

Wine-colored is a bold choice for a job interview. It might be a touch less formal than a white or Oxford shirt, so keep that in mind.

red or white wine?

Lol. That's what I thought when I first read his post. [Big Grin]

I still say mauve.

Posted by Intelligence3 (Member # 6944) on :

First, red wine. Burgundy, even.

Second, no suit. I am not interviewing for suit jobs at this time. Since I don't have one, that's most convenient. [Smile]

Third, this is for creative positions, so I'm going for colored shirts. Most of the people who have interviewed me to date have worn colored shirts of some sort with no ties, or even as simple as t-shirts.

Fourth, when ElJay posted that about mauve, I was sitting three feet away. She said, "I still say mauve," then turned around, typed, and clicked Add Reply. I just wanted to point that out.

Aww....y'all are sitting in the same room and commuicating electronically.

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

Regardless of proximity, I still say mauve. [Razz]

And it's my computer, so I win.

Edit: Kat... nah, he came over for dinner, and wanted to see if anyone else had added to his thread. So we're not actually communicating electronically... just kinda one-upping each other. [Smile]

I'd do either grey pants and a grey tie or khaki pants and a khaki colored tie. Not solid ties, but the grey or khaki would be the foremost color.

Black shoes with the grey, brown shoes with the khaki.
