If I were the Gomez kid or the member of his gang I would stay away from windows, I would also leave town.

Marine Wife Shot Story

I hope he gets the chair. What a horrible thing. I don't feel sorry for him at all, I don't care if he has problems. Hmph [Mad]

Proper sentence, let the kid face the marine, no weapons.

A marine is a weapon.

Damn that is good! But would the American public stand for a man getting beaten to death, the bullet is much more merciful and while Marines are killers we are not what is that word.. likes to inflict pain?

A marine is a weapon... I like that.

The word is sadist. Or, more obscurely, algophile.

I was thinking Drill Instructor!

I think that would violate the constitutional prohibition of cruel and unusual punishment.

But anyone who goes somewhere just because they picked it out ahead of time as a place they'd like to kill someone and shoots a woman who is 6 mos. pregnant in the head deserves it-- if he was in his right mind. If he was schitophrenic, I suppose he deserves to be locked away from normal life for the rest of his.

Thank God the woman didn't die, and seems to still have a chance.

I agree with Boris, let the husband personally deal with the kid. Cruel and unusual? Perhaps. Depends in large part on what happens with his wife. At a minimum, I think Gomez needs to suffer as much as the Marine and his wife are.

That's messed up.

We don't even know if the woman or the baby died, and you all are already pre-occupied with the Cook killing Gomez, 19, with his bare hands. And which, by the way, would definitely not help the woman or the baby.

If that was my wife and kid I would have the shooters head on a pike. [Mad] [Eek!] [Cry] [Mad]

Umm, I think a Marine knows a few ways to..."punish" people without completely killing them. I do know some Marines, however, and I think the result of any confrontation between this kid and the Marine would result in said kid being hurt beyond complete recovery. I'm not saying the kid should be killed...Maimed, probably, killed, maybe not, having his capability for commiting a crime again removed permanently, definately.

Actually, it was the Marine, Justin Cook, who said he felt sorry for Gomez. Hurting Gomez ouldn't help Cook either.

Contrary to popular belief, revenge rarely heals.
