Neil Gaiman linked to this story on his blog today, I found it absolutely fascinating. Thoughts?

Wow. That's amazing.

Some of those stories, especially the part about the Blue Lady, are eerily similar to stories that kids told each other in Dark Angel (tv show).

I think the stories have been around for a while, and every so often they come to the mainstream media's attention. Neil mentioned that someone emails him about this story once a year or so, that link is just the latest iteration of it.

I just noticed that it was originally published in 1997.

Doh. So it was. But still and all...creepy, magical, uplifting, and heartbreaking all at once.

quote:
"I do think a person can dream the moment of his death. Sometimes I dream that when I die soon, I'll be in some high, great place where people have time to conversate. And even if there's no God or Heaven, it won't be too bad for me to be there."

How amazing and beautiful. I would love to hear more of these stories. They are incredibly precious and real.

I hope we all choose to fight on the side of the angels, no matter how outnumbered we are.
