I don't watch television, except for maybe 1 TV show when I remember it's on. Avoiding television has led me to explore a lot of great movies. It would be impossible for me to watch every commendable movie out there, but I do like experiencing as many genres and movie types as I can. The area that I think I'm most lacking is in Independent Films.

I've watched:
Being John Malkovich
Dancer in the Dark
American History X
Momento
Saved
Y tu Mama Tambien (And Your mother, as well)

Perhaps others that I didn't realize were IndiFilms.

Any good independent movie suggestions?

BunnV: American History X was an indie?! Wow, never knew that! And it's goooood...

It seems the moniker indie is being used as a slang term for "artsy cool movie" these days

Yeah, I wouldn't have put either American History X or Momento in the "indie" list.

But yeah, you've seen some cool films.

Wouldn't have guessed American History X as an indie. But I must say it is one of the most powerful movies I have ever seen.
