quote:A learned man came to me once. He said, "I know the way, -- come." And I was overjoyed at this. Together we hastened. Soon, too soon, were we Where my eyes were useless, And I knew not the ways of my feet. I clung to the hand of my friend; But at last he cried, "I am lost."

I'm flattered, fugu. *grin*
In religion, the hand you are holding is the Lord's. He's never lost.

"In religion, the hand you are holding is the Lord's."
Insert the words "a true" before "religion" and that sentence works.

Using Bean Counter's logic, a few years ago I bet someone a hundred bucks that the world would not in fact end as a consequence of Y2K. Sadly, they never paid up -- but I felt it was a safe bet at the time.

Fugu is distrustful of the religious sure because he's sure they're wrong.
No surprise there.

Nope, not sure at all.
Are you distrustful of the secular sure because you're sure they're wrong?
