It wasn't because of what anyone said - please don't think that.
It's because I realized that I had shared way too much personal knowledge of the case without the permission of the people involved. I just felt uncomfortable with what might be seen as a breach of privacy.
For those that wondered what you missed - no big deal. Abortion doctor lost his license, justifiably, and then made some comments in a newspaper article that angered me because I had enough personal knowledge to know what he said was not true. But, that knowledge may not have been for me to share.
Again, sorry, I know deleting theads is annoying. My fault for letting my emotions run away with me.

No fault or blame needs to be assigned or assumed, IMHO.

How about - "I regret the inconvenience this may have caused some posters."

Don't worry about it, Belle. I'd probably do the same thing. There's a confidentiality clause where I work and sometimes I find it hard to keep my mouth shut. So I'd delete a thread that was all about info that might get me fired....

I want you to know that I posted the MOST BRILLIANT POEM EVER in that thread, Belle.
And now, because of your wantonness, it's gone forever.
