This is not the only thing I learned on my vacation.

Some other things I found out:

-Rigging a canopy for our 9-mo.-old daughter's car seat was a good idea. However, it only ever lasted one and a half days before it had to be rebuilt and reattached; it was just too tempting for little hands. I'm going to go to the fabric store and get some boning tape to make one that may not fall apart as easily.

-I do not like it when my husband picks a movie actor to think of in our game of "20 questions", because I invariably cannot think of the name of the person I'm thinking about, and it irritates me no end.

-Papa Moose doesn't like hummus, and disagrees with me about what constitutes "picnic food" and "junk food". (He does, however, enjoy canned fava beans, and even conceded that the "tropical carrot juice blend" was good, and didn't taste like carrot juice.) He and Rivka (and the kiddos that I met) are pretty awesome. (I think I could have done without the recorder playing, though.)

-My family may be under a curse; my husband and I apparently take turns being sick on Christmas.

-Our daughter is a very good traveler, for the most part, but she does have limits, and when she reaches them, that stuff about crying being a natural sleep aid is bunk. She is perfectly capable of crying for 50 minutes straight (we were looking for lodging and had to make it to El Paso to find it.)

-You may find decent lodging for $35 a night, but they apparently won't necessarily provide such luxuries as a phone or a remote for the TV at that price.

-Jones Soda is good in small doses, but I should not have bought a whole 12 pack of one flavor to take on our trip.

-There are two La Quintas on the same street in El Paso. It is apparently hard for Papa John's to tell the difference between them even when you give them the exact address. (We did get a free 2 litre out of the deal, but we had soda in the car, and so didn't really want it. We gave it to my mom when my brother was sick.)

-I had never thought about how many "children's songs" had pretty awful histories. Being with my fellow Hatrackers brings out the best in me. [Evil]

(My husband hardly got a word in edgewise, though.)

There are other things, too, but some of them are boring, and some, um, rather personal. [Blushing]

Anyway, I'm back, and will resume normal posting shortly. [Wave]

Well, you certainly know the risks of leaving yourself logged in at the wrong computer.

I don't think being logged in matters -- I am frequently logged into Hatrack on more than one computer.

But... how is this possible? I can be logged in as Teshi on as many computers as I like, and I never have a problem!

Is it only if they are on?

As long as you trust the people that have access to the computer you're logged in to.

You can be logged in in more than one place - I used to be logged in at home and at work at the same time all the time.

I was logged in at home and school at the same time last year, and know I posted within a minute of the other (actually my mom was posting one thing while at home).

Yeah -- I'm with the others who don't think that's the reason you couldn't log in on your dad's computer. Nonetheless, I had a wonderful time meeting you and your family. You are nothing but pleasant (even on things about which we disagree), your daughter does have a wonderful smile, and your husband, though very quiet and distressingly familiar-looking, did look quite sharp in that tie. We may never agree on veggie chips and HUMmus, but if you're up for meeting again next time you're out, I'm in.

I'm not saying that there's a reason that should make it not work, but I know he's never been banned from Hatrack, and when smething goes wrong with a computer I'm on, it's usually my fault. Hence, by not logging off, I jinxed it. (I've been logged in more than one place at once, too.)
