And here I thought this was going to be a desperate plea for Dag to make an honest woman of you Liz!

you know, as in the link from his profile.. [Big Grin]

So did Eve get a lot of jokes about "finding her Prince"??? LOL

Posted by PSI Teleport (Member # 5545) on :

More like "becoming her prince".

Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :

Oh, yeah. No one can run a joke into the ground like my family. [Smile]

Of course, they also told Eve before we got engaged that if it didn't work out she was staying and I was leaving.

Heh. We told my cousin's wife that. They did get divorced (my cousin's a moron) and I think my aunt mourned more than my cousin did.

Posted by Elizabeth (Member # 5218) on :

Sheesh, and I thought I would get the last name, delete the thread, and move on!

Posted by Elizabeth (Member # 5218) on :

I did it!!

I finally addressed all the little packages I have promised people for a while. Ok, for MONTHS, like six or more. My husband did NOT praise me at all, wither, and brought up the whole six month thing.

Anyway, many of you should be getting some music soon.

[Party]

How did you send it? I need to know if the mailman or a private carrier will be dropping it off.

Thanks!

It will be regular mail, Dag.

Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :

Excellent. Then no need to call the rental office to get them to pick it up for me. [Smile]

I popped a book in there, too, because it was a big envelope. It feels so good to have that pile of unaddressed envelopes all ready to go. I really do think I should have received some husbandly praise for it.

Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :

You should have, indeed.

[No No] Liz's husband.

Posted by Elizabeth (Member # 5218) on :

Dag, some have been there for six months. Still, thank you for your support, anyway.

Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :

You're the prodigal mailer. Shouldn't we be slaughtering the fatted calf?

Posted by bunbun (Member # 6814) on :

Hence the veal.

Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :

You've been paying attention!

Posted by Elizabeth (Member # 5218) on :

Yes! Although it is sad that I need his stamp of approval, I guess he is just too much of a mail to be sensitive.

I must say, I was really PO'd.

Posted by bunbun (Member # 6814) on :

Not veally. What do you think about some postal on the side?

Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :

Oh, you're going to milk it, are you?

Posted by Elizabeth (Member # 5218) on :

You know what they say about puns, Dag. it;s all in the delivery.

The farmer had 26 cows, named A-Z. The third youngest was not being cared for, and the humane society gave him a lecture. It worked - the farmer fed X the very next day.

That was horrible--I feel my grip on reality shipping--

Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :

That's a manifest impossibility.

Posted by bunbun (Member # 6814) on :

I am not a freight of you.

Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :

You shouldn't be, I'm a nice guy. But I'm a terrible golfer. The country club has special window-view seats for the best golfers. But I can't shoot 72, so I'm not allowed at the par sill.

::feels the need to stamp out this ridiculousness posthaste::

Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :

Well, let's be frank about it, shall we?

You're bean so horrible. The puns in this thread are postage be about the mail.

Posted by Noemon (Member # 1115) on :

::coughs as the stench of bad puns envelopes him::

Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :

Oh, it's all about the mail. You want proof? Just ask my postwoman. I bet you'd love to meter.

Posted by bunbun (Member # 6814) on :

S'okay Noemon, letter out. If you repress your feelings, you'll send up with baggage.

A catering truck crashed at the playground and threw foi gras everywhere in the bushes. It took forever to get the park hedge de-livered.

[ROFL]

Dag wins!

Unfortunately, a troop of homeless guys were camped out under the hedge when the liver hit. One of them, named Philip, had to be taken to the hospital for any allergy. On the the way to the hospital, Philatelic the paramedics that he'd never pan-handle again.

That post'll make me bust a gut, bunbun. That Phil was certainly forward.

I thought it was so funny at the Rehab hospital. This guy had broken his knee, and had to ride in a wheelchair. He referrd to it as the Poor Knee Express.

And to detract from the puns...

I've been told that by all (and I mean *all*) of Tony's living relations - that I was staying, not Eve. Obviously.

I wonder if I should be worried?

Got mine today - thanks for the CDs and the book.

I'll play them as soon as they warm up enough not to get condensation on them.

Wow, that was fast! Have you read Tony Hillerman before? Fun.

Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :

No, I'm looking forward to it. Sounds like a great book. Is this part of a series?

Posted by Elizabeth (Member # 5218) on :

He has a series of books, but it isn't like a series, if that makes sense. Each book can be read on its own, but there is an overarching story line. There were two PBS movies based on the books which I thought were very well done. Lots of info about native law, which I am sure you will find of interest. I remember talking to a friend who is a lawyer on the Navajo reservation in Arizona . He said it was almost impossible to defend people, because they wouldn't talk, at least not how he needed them to.
