I have to say, I'm skeptical. The original US version traumatized me, and I think that had a lot to do with way it used the skeleton of the Japanese original. It just wasn't typical horror movie stuff.

But now, 3 years after The Ring and one year after The Grudge, are these same techniques going to wear thin?

Edit: For clarity, when I'm refering to the Japanese originals, I'll say Ringu (The Ring) and Ju-On (The Grudge).
