Are you coming to Minneapolis for the Henna party? I would love to buy you a beverage or n of your choice.

Posted by TomDavidson (Member # 124) on :

If I had known people were giving out n, I'd've made plans to come.

Posted by Intelligence3 (Member # 6944) on :

Well, we'll hold n beverages in your name.

Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :

Mathematicians have been studying the properties of n-packs for years.

Posted by Papa Moose (Member # 1992) on :

Who's Bob Scopatz? Is he related to Bob_Scopatz?

Posted by Annie (Member # 295) on :

Or is it Sponge Bob Scopatz? I can never keep them straight.

Posted by Elizabeth (Member # 5218) on :

Geez, Annie, it's SpongeBob ScoPantz.

Neither can James Dobson. [Wink]

*italics added so people will actually get the intended joke*

Posted by Intelligence3 (Member # 6944) on :

Yeah yeah.

So, uh, Bob_Scopatz, are you coming to Minneapolis next week.

Eesh. [Taunt]

Posted by dkw (Member # 3264) on :

Bob's on the road, but I'm talking to him now.

He says as long as the beverage isn't bubble tea, he's there.

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

What's he got against bubble tea?

Posted by dkw (Member # 3264) on :

He says that soft squishy balls that you suck through a straw are threatening to his masculinity.

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

Huh. That's an awfully narrow-minded view. [Wink]

Hey, we've got to talk about the henna party. Can you call me tomorrow or something? Since you're obviously talking to Bob tonight, and I'm going to bed soon.

Posted by dkw (Member # 3264) on :

Actually, Sarah and Sara are thinking of selling bubble tea at the bookstore they're opening, and they made us try a whole bunch of flavors the other night. Some were pretty good. Others were like . . . kiwi flavored cough syrup mixed with windex. And squishy balls.

Fabulous.

bubble tea?

kiwi flavored cough syrup
*laugh* Although I was surrounded by kiwis when I was in New Zealand, I never did find out what one tasted like. [Wink]

Posted by KarlEd (Member # 571) on :

Kama, I'll see your "Bubble tea?" and raise you a "??"

Posted by ClaudiaTherese (Member # 923) on :

Originally Taiwanese, has spread into Japan and the US. Sweet fruity cold drink with tapioca pearls sitting at the bottom and a big fat straw.

I first read about this last year and was very [Dont Know] . But I do like tapioca. Still, looks like a little pile of dark eyeballs rolling around on the bottom, eh?

Why do I not believe you? [Razz]

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

Depending on the flavor, it can be very good. [Smile] And I never had tapioca until I tried bubble tea.

Posted by Elizabeth (Member # 5218) on :

I can't think of many things that sound nastier.

Posted by Lady Jane (Member # 7249) on :

Oh, I love those tapioca bubble drinks. They put them in slushies in Hawaii.

Posted by Intelligence3 (Member # 6944) on :

Thanks.

And I like bubble tea, though that isn;t what I was thinking for the visit.

I can rest secure in my masculinity.

Posted by Icarus (Member # 3162) on :

Ditto Elizabeth.

Posted by TheTick (Member # 2883) on :

Bubble tea came and went here with alarming speed. Kinda sad, the bubble tea place had free wifi internet access.

Posted by sndrake (Member # 4941) on :

*thinks the sudden switcheroo to a discussion of bubble tea is just a clever ruse to keep James Dobson off Bob's tail - so to speak*

Posted by zgator (Member # 3833) on :

Tick, you would try bubble tea, but not ostritch?

Posted by fiazko (Member # 5812) on :

[Wave] I'll try ostrich, but tapioca is against my personal laws of nature.

Posted by Elizabeth (Member # 5218) on :

Sndrake, Dobson says Spongebob is gay, but his creator says he is asexual. Either way, dkw is in trouble.

Posted by TheTick (Member # 2883) on :

I didn't drink the bubble tea. I was along for the ride when Jen/the in-laws went. Are you kidding me? [Angst]

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

Now I want bubble tea.

*ponders taking a walk*

Or Bob is.

Posted by Bob_Scopatz (Member # 1227) on :

What does it say that my favorite flavor was mango?

(okay, don't make me italicize so you get the joke!!!)

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

Better than if it were dkw's favorite.

Um.

Posted by sndrake (Member # 4941) on :

OK, I get it now.

They're both keen on mango.

I guess that works. [Razz]

Posted by Elizabeth (Member # 5218) on :

Poor mango.

Posted by Bob_Scopatz (Member # 1227) on :

[Big Grin]

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

Hmm. I had a completely different meaning in mind.

If mango were a compound word . . .

Posted by Kwea (Member # 2199) on :

Wel, it looks like Dana has her work cut out for her, then...

Although we already knew that. [Evil]

Posted by sndrake (Member # 4941) on :

Kwea,

Dana said she is fond of mango too.

Two straws, I guess. [Razz]

[Angst]

(I typed that and it creeps me out.)

Posted by jexx (Member # 3450) on :

Oh. *gag* Bubble tea. No thank you. Tapioca so big it needs to be *chewed*????
.
.
.
*shudder*
.
.
.
I found it interesting however that the bubble tea is also known as " Boba Tea". Hmmmmm...
.

Now I have a double-wide "Free K-8 lesson plans"

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

Now there are two DIFFERENT SpongeBob costume sites! [Angst]

Posted by sndrake (Member # 4941) on :

Could be worse.

Could be ads for Mango costumes.

[Angst]

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

They sell costumes to dress up like one of Cor & Icky's daughters?

Posted by Elizabeth (Member # 5218) on :

Mango from SNL is who I was thinking of.

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

*giggle* Now we've got Bob the Builder costumes. I sense a theme developing.

Posted by Elizabeth (Member # 5218) on :

Uh oh. "Mascot character costumes."

Sounds like..............

FURRIES!!!

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

[Eek!]

That's even worse than Mango. [Angst]

Posted by Kwea (Member # 2199) on :

sndrake, too bad for her that Mango
would prefer Bob to her....

Or maybe she is lucky that way. [Evil]

Posted by Ryuko (Member # 5125) on :

Why is everyone always thinking Mango is the homo-gay!?!? He is having a wife! And the childrens!!

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

Bob, are you going through a brain dump or something? A sudden burst of simile creativity? Or did Dana just leave you alone tonight and you're bored?

Posted by Bob_Scopatz (Member # 1227) on :

Dana's busy baking bread, brining a chicken, and making pork roast. I figure the least I can do is stay out of the way until it's time to do the dishes.

[Big Grin]

At the bottom of my screen it says:

"Pirate Clothes, Costumes" and

"Biblical Costumes"

Some mental images just need to be erased!

Posted by ghost of dkw (Member # 4046) on :

Since when is the Easter Bunny a Biblical costume?

Posted by Elizabeth (Member # 5218) on :

Or Santa?
