I bought a new rechargable battery pack for my cordless drill. The instructions say to "Use only under adult supervision." What to do, what to do...

rotfl, we were just discussing last night whether I'm actually safe to handle sharp objects.

You bought the replacement batteries? When my last batteries gave out, it ended up being cheaper to get a new drill.

I don't have to discuss it with anyone. I am not allowed to handle sharp objects. [Dont Know]

I think you're ok. What you might be forgetting is the generally low standard for "adult" we have in this country.

Read a Torts case book to see how unbelievably stupid people can be.

"The lawn mower didn't say not to reach under when it wasn't running!"

Based on what I've seen of you, you're comfortably past that stage. [Smile]

I've had similar issues with people over-reacting when I have control of sharp objects or powertools.

.. and yet they let me play with swords?

Cool. [Evil Laugh]

Crazy as always,

It can;t be more dangerous than using a jackhammer...

( I was going to link to it, but I couldn't find the pic... [Wink] )

Kwea, I'm starting to think you're quietly trying to convert us into switching semi-colons for apostrophes.

I keep trying the no-looking style of typing.

It is working fairly well, except for that.

zgator, 10% off store closing sale plus 17% off bag sale. They ended up being pretty cheap batteries.

Of course, I did manage to buy about $100 worth of other crap while I was there, but ya know. It's a hardware store, what do you expect?

The rest of you, it would be one thing if the drill said not to use without adult supervision. But the batteries? I suppose if I was ambitious I could hack them open and get in trouble with what's inside, but really.

Oh, and Kwea, you should see the picture of me sitting 15 feet up a tree with a chainsaw!

This is a question only you can answer--Are you ready for Adult-ery?

Were you wearing a hockey mask at the time?

Awaiting the pic... [Big Grin]

*shrug* You're gonna have to hope KrabbyPatty's lurking and knows where it is, then. She's the one who obsessively takes pictures of me working in high places. I think it might have been pre-digital, too. But don't worry... if she can find it, she'll scan it. [Smile]
