Our old link to the 19 year old singing Romanian song no longer works. Can anyone find a new one? [Grumble]

You know, if you go farther down the thread, there are about 10 other links -- including this one.

Yeah, but it comes up blocked due to pornography. The filter at my work is unnecessarily harsh and my boss wants to see it. He saw a blurp about it on the Today show this morning.

If that one doesn't work for you, you could try the Wikipedia article. Maybe they have a clean link. (It's under "Dragostea Din Tei"-- that's the name of the song.)

Here is the one with subtitles. Scroll down the page and look for Numa Numa Dance.

And the Lego version.

lem, you are going to Hell.

After 4 weeks of that song stuck in my head constantly-- I was singing it when I woke up, when I went to bed, in my sleep-- I finally got it out. You have now put it back in.

There's got to be a special place reserved just for you, where they're going to play that song over and over again! [Razz]

ketchupqueen, you need this

and the lyrics!

Aaaaaaah! Now they're cycling through my head, along with "badgerbadgerbadgerbadgerbadgerbadgerbadgerbadgerbadgerbadgerbadger mushroom, mushroom!"

Let me amend my last post:

lem and CaySedai, you are both going to hell.

I heard the song on the radio coming back from Arizona. I of course didn't understand anything said after on that station.

Yes, it is called Heaven. [Big Grin]

All the links with subtitles are blocked due to Pornography...bah! [Wall Bash]

Even worse then having the song stuck in your head is having it stuck in your head when you can't listen to it or remember the lyrics.

Well, you can always try the Office Olympics version if you just need to hear the song. And the lyrics (kinda; the spelling was debunked by our resident Romanian speaker) are available here (that's the translation they put on the video anyway).

Holy crap!!! 1 million views!!!

You people are crazy! Just to let you all know, yes, this is the original location of the Numa Numa Dance... right here on NG. The internet sent it around like crazy, and it's wound up on over 80 websites that I could find, with an appearance on CNN, and just now on VH1's Best Week Ever. I've recieved tons of e-mail's and hits to my website, and I just want to thank you for all the feedback that you've given me.

For people who still don't know, yes that is me in the video, and the song is entitled "Dragostea Din Tea" by the Romanian pop band "O-Zone".

This is the special version where you can turn the subtitles on and off, and play it without the pictures in-between.

I didn't catch that before, but apparently the one on newgrounds is the original. Thats awesome. That kids got some guts.

KQ -- That is about THE most popular song on the radio in Israel. Now, think, as well as replaying it in your head all the time... everytime you get in a taxi, or turn on the radio, or... breathe, you hear the actual thing.

[Wall Bash]

Just shows how good the performer made the original version.

I also hafta say, what a load of...
newsground.com altered the screamingly brilliant original version for the much much worse while still labeling it as "original".

Ack. Hehe. Gay guys in Spain are apparently not as fashion-savvy as gay guys in the U.S.

*shudder*

And not as attractive, either (speaking of the singers, not the back up dancers--they were fairly yummy).

Funny, though. [Smile]
