I have yet to pump my own. Actually, once I was with a grad student getting liquid nitrogen. It's hard to see when the containers are full because of all the vapor. I asked the grad student how he knew when to stop, and another student (who I didn't know) chimed in that it sounds just like when your gas tank is full. I said I'd never pumped my own gas.

"Oh, you're from around here, aren't you?"
