OH, I hope everything goes well! Let us know as soon as you can, but do not neglect your wife and new baby just to come post here!

(although surely there will be a five minute period or so when they're both sleeping...)

Posted by Carrie (Member # 394) on :

Yay for baby! Hope things go well [Smile]

Posted by Amka (Member # 690) on :

edit: I completely echoed Carrie, without having read her post.

Anyway, I'm glad for you guys.

For me, I've still got a few hours to go when I'm 5 minutes apart, so I don't panic much.

Ditto for me.

Anyone heard any news?

Posted by quidscribis (Member # 5124) on :

Nope. There PC goes, leaving us hanging with no new information. I mean, seriously, how inconsiderate can the guy get? [ROFL]

I'm sure things are going well. Happy times for the PC family.

My contractions started 5 minutes appart. Our daughter was born 4 an a half hours later. Good luck. Hope things go very well.

Posted by 0range7Penguin (Member # 7337) on :

What do you guys think, will it be a boy or a girl? I'll place my bet on girl. [Big Grin]
Hope everything is going/ has gone well.

Posted by breyerchic04 (Member # 6423) on :

I think they said it was going to be a girl, but I could be wrong, there are so many babies coming to hatrack.

Posted by 0range7Penguin (Member # 7337) on :

It's no fun when you know ahead of time through things like an ultrasound. I think the wait is great!

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

Aren't you, like, 18, hon?

Posted by Space Opera (Member # 6504) on :

*shivers* Don't do the "hon" thing. It reminds me of when waitresses call me that - and they're a whoppin' 2 years older than I am. And hey, for all we know orange penguin could already be a father. And even if he isn't, he's allowed to give an opinion without being treated in a condescending manner. [Smile]

space opera, who wants news on this baby soon!

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

I'm sorry, it's affectionate, not condescending, in intent. And I call lots of people "hon" or "sweetie" or "cutie".

I just thought it was kind of cute he has opinions on kids and stuff. Most guys his age are afraid to even think of it. I like it, I was just wondering how he got so sweet about this stuff.

Like bev's story about her son being upset that his wife would have to go through childbirth. [Smile]

Posted by Space Opera (Member # 6504) on :

Fair enough, kq. Glad for the clarification.

Posted by Farmgirl (Member # 5567) on :

kq is from Texas, space....

everyone down there is called "hon"

[Big Grin]

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

[Eek!] I am not from Texas! I am from California, I just happen to be living here right now!

I picked it up when I worked at a daycare. One of my co-workers did it, and I just started doing it, too, I guess.

Now, hon, don't get all excited for nothing! [Wink] [Razz]

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

It's not nothing. *mutters* Stupid state with no mountains or proper sourdough...

Posted by Annie (Member # 295) on :

It's OK to get upset about Texas. [Smile]

And don't mention the mountain thing to any of the residents. My Houston-native aunt was visiting once, and we took her to Glacier National Park and she quipped, "You seen one mountain, you seen 'em all."

[Mad]

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

I've been told that there are mountains in West Texas. I've had to explain that those aren't really mountains. They're mesas and hills, and they're not that big. [Roll Eyes]

Of course, I grew up in the "foothills", and the elevation on our street was 1527. So, yeah, I guess I'm a little biased.

Most excellent. [Smile] Congratulations to you both. She's lovely -- and so's her mommy.

(On a personal note, it is actually astonishing to me how much she looks like Sophie when our daughter was born. They've got very similar expressions. Maybe it's something in the water in Wisconsin. *grin*)

OK, I never saw this thread - I saw the "contraptions" dobie (without realizing it was a dobie) and never came back into this thread thinking it was the dobie.

I couldn't understand why that post spawned a 2-page thread.

Congratulations. The pictures are adorable!

Thanks guys! Ella thinks she's cute, too. [Smile]

7lbs 14.9oz 21in and a huge noggin. She's also got a voracious appetite so breastfeeding hasn't been too much of a trial. I'll update you guys some more on the labor after I can type with both hands.

*giggle* Give yourself a month or three. I got VERY good at typing with one hand while nursing. I'm such a geek.

Congratulations, Keedokes! Hope PC is giving you all the love and support you deserve. You all are positively glowing. What a beautiful family.

Okay, I just can't stop looking at her, either. What a cute little girl! And I keep chuckling at PC's titles.
