Does anyone remember This movie? I have memories of watching it and really liking it, but I hardly remember the actual plot. I seem to remember the scientist dude turning into a dragon and finding all these reasonable explinations for the mystical stuff that happens, and it's fascinated me to this day. I wonder if I'm even referring to the right movie. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I thought this was going to be about Lawhead's Pendragon series. Arthur's core band of knights is called the dragon flight.

I have a copy. I had to have it specially ordered, and it took forever. I am/was a big fan of Gordon Dickson's Dragon Knight books, so when I heard that the plot was (extremely) loosely based on The Dragon and the George I decided I needed a copy.

The style of animations grates on me worse than anime does, but I still enjoyed the movie.

I love that movie! A friend of mine's roommate's girlfriend had it in their room, and I was all excited and forced her to watch it with me. I was all happy. Dude I want a copy of that movie.

Is that the one where this guy gets turned into dragon and is has really unbelievable scientific explinations for all of the dragon's "magical" abilities?

I loved that movie as a kid. I think we actually have it taped off of TV somewhere around here....

The "scientific" explanations are what bothered me most about the movie, as much as anything bothered me. In the book, it's magic. And fun magic. I love the Accounting Office.

The only one I really remember is he (as a dragon) and the crotchety streetwise dragon munching on...limestone...or something and him describing how it caused a chemical reaction in the gut of a dragon to enable them to breathe fire and fly. I thought it was the coolest thing ever.

That is exactly what I thought. The characters even refer to it as "the flight of dragons" several times. [Smile]
