Rules: You say two movies and then someone tries to guess what they have in common or how they are connected. It could be by actors who were together in another movie, or same director ...etc.
I'll go first.

"The Lion King" & "Brother Bear"

They're about talking animals?

[Confused]

[Wink]

Just kidding - carry on . . .

Posted by unicornwhisperer (Member # 294) on :

Nope

Try again:)
Although I think a lot of the animals fall a lot in both movies... but that's not what I was looking for.

Aaron Blaise?

Posted by unicornwhisperer (Member # 294) on :

.....
.....
....
....
Who's Aaron Blaise?
*looks at IMDB*

Oh... he directed Brother Bear and was a crew member for Lion King...

And the answer is not Disney btw.
I probably shouldn't have done animated movies...

Let's try (it's the same answer different clue)

"With Honors" "Brother Bear"

We have a winner!

Posted by unicornwhisperer (Member # 294) on :

No, it's not Disney. [Razz]

Posted by Shan (Member # 4550) on :

I protest! This is too hard after a long days work.

They both have wicked uncles that want the power?

Posted by Beren One Hand (Member # 3403) on :

That's an interesting direction Shan. Can we guess themes? Are they all movies in which the protagonist lost a parent?

Aren't all Disney movies like that?

Posted by Beren One Hand (Member # 3403) on :

Ha, that's true. A movie is a lot less fun if the main character has to keep calling home to tell his parents that he will be late for dinner.

Posted by Shan (Member # 4550) on :

I thought they were all about wicked uncles taking power from nephews and/or pretty princesses being swept off their pretty little feet and carried away to the castle in the sky.

*wink wink*

If you tell me the link is Nathan Lane, I will make sure never to see "Brother Bear".

Posted by Book (Member # 5500) on :

I think it's because both movies involve a scene in which there is a ritual killing.

Posted by Beren One Hand (Member # 3403) on :

Sure, no Disney movie is complete without a crowd pleasing ritual killing.

Ah ha! Both movies were crap compared to the works of Studio Ghibli! [Smile]

I don't get your hint Shan, but I do enjoy the winking. [Wink]

OK you guys it has nothing to do about Lion King anymore...
Here are the movies.

"With Honors" & "Brother Bear"

It has nothing to do with Disney either... (for the third time) [Razz]

Posted by T_Smith (Member # 3734) on :

Both are movies about redemption of the human spirit through an odd twist of fate?

Or is there a moose in With Honors?

They are movies in which a stranger becomes the main character's surrogate family member in order to show him the real meaning of family. [Confused]

Posted by AntiCool (Member # 7386) on :

Both are movies that I haven't seen.

Posted by unicornwhisperer (Member # 294) on :

Hint:
Think of the actors in With Honors and then see if one of them was in a movie with one of the actors in Brother Bear.

Cuba Gooding Jr.?

Posted by unicornwhisperer (Member # 294) on :

Cuba Gooding JR? I don't think he's in any of them.... is he?

Any way.... anyone give up? Then someone else can ask a question...

Posted by Raia (Member # 4700) on :

Jerry Maguire and Stuart Little.

(This one might be too easy...)

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

Both illustrate why the advice "Never work with children and animals" is true.

Posted by Raia (Member # 4700) on :

Hehe...

No. [Wink]

Both movies feature a graphic ritual killing?

Jerry Maguire and Stuart Little.

Well, I don't suppose it would be making candles for the dinner table out of earwax, would it?

[Wink]

Posted by Beren One Hand (Member # 3403) on :

I thought you liked it when I did that Shan. [Wink]

I didn't want to start a new thread because this has probably been posted before, but I thought this Invisible Movie Game is kind of neat.

Posted by Raia (Member # 4700) on :

Well done Goody! [Smile]

John Cleese, one of the Pythons, and various characters in Life of Brian (like the guy in charge of the stoning), does the voice of Fiona's father, the King, in Shrek 2. [Smile]

(edit: Forgot to ask a new one!

Chicago
Memoirs of a Geisha)

Posted by Beren One Hand (Member # 3403) on :

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Just don't guess "The Invisible Man" for all of them. [Wink]

Posted by MattB (Member # 1116) on :

Rob Marshall.

I, Claudius and Robin Hood, Men in Tights.

Posted by Raia (Member # 4700) on :

*claps*

Beren, a friend and I are doing it together... we've got a fair number!!

Posted by unicornwhisperer (Member # 294) on :

The answer to my question is the following (sorry it took so long to post):

Moira Kelly is in "With HOnors" & "The Lion King"
D.B. Sweeny is in "Brother Bear"
Both were in "The Cutting Edge"

Posted by unicornwhisperer (Member # 294) on :

*bump*
