This is the thread in which we harass Lucky4 into posting. We all decided that since she showed up to WenchCon, we have to harass her out of her lurker status.

So...let the harassment begin!

*in a sing-song voice* Lucky... Lucky... If you don't post, I'm going to have to tell stories about your underwear...

Hey! I never voted for harassment! That's no way to coax a shy lurker out of her den. I wanted to ply her with alcohol but that didn't work, she won't drink.

And she gave good reasons for lurking last night on the way clubbing, so,... [Dont Know]

Mormo, how nice of you. I also think that lurkers should be coaxed, not harrassed. And certainly not threatened, kq. [No No]

Well, since Lucky4 likes my username, even without knowing the pronunciation, I definitely think it would be a good thing to see more of her! [Smile]

Noemon, at first, when I mispronounced your sn, I was convinced you were Jewish. And I love it, btw. I love it more pronounced Jew-ly, though. [Wink]

Posted by Noemon (Member # 1115) on :

Really? What would the Jewish pronunciation be? Does "noemon" mean something in Hebrew?

Posted by Raia (Member # 4700) on :

Well, I was thinking it's "NOY-mon," which is a classic Yiddish sort of grandpa name, haha... you always see, in Hebrew movies, there's a grandpa-figure character named Noemon. It's like Moyshe, or Yankel, or something.

Underwear?!? As in "My Little Pony" underwear, or red satin lace??? [Wink] [Razz] [Smile]

Icarus, what are you doing in that post? Staring her into submission? [Wink]

Lucky, come out and post!! You can't be a lurker once you become REAL!! [Big Grin]

Posted by TMedina (Member # 6649) on :

Lucky4 is very Real and while she does have some excellent reasons for not posting regularly, we will continue to invoke her name until her post count rises.

Just a tad.

However, I am more than a little intrigued with Ketchup's underwear stories... [Big Grin]

When Lucky was removing her Gandalf outfit, she almost took "disrobing" to new levels. Unfortunately, she caught herself in time...worse luck. [Big Grin]

Raia, I think you're hearing a Brooklynization of "Norman" in those movies. [Big Grin]

She might have been a little timid for the first half hour or so...

But when she started returning fire, I knew she'd be just fine.

She did, however, make quite an impression on the guys on the dance floor Saturday night. [Big Grin]

Well, it's obvious by now that Lucky4 wants to hear her underwear tales told on this forum.
So to ensure that Lucky4 is thoroughly entertained, remember to add details spicier than those in her own memory.

BTW: Does Lucky4 have a more-than-average interest in Chinese and/or Japanese culture?

Well, if it's obvious... Since we all changed in front of each other, I know details...

I'm reluctant to tell, though. And I'm "saucy" now, am I? I thought Ben got saucy.

At least, when he doesn't get "fatherly". Apparently. [Razz]

I'm glad you made it back safely Ketchup, allowing for your airport difficulties.

And yes, Ben was quite fatherly - unless we're ready to call little Ketchup's taste in men into question already. [Big Grin]

*Does a happy dance resembling a saucy salsa*

I will never understand how in the name of peace this thread came to be about my underwear.

Thanks to everyone who has boosted my ego by telling me to delurk! Are you sure you know what you're getting yourselves into?! I'm going to try to post more, but old habits die hard. We'll see how it goes...

Actually, she was just the worst. All of us were doing it this morning. I think it was because we hadn't slept much.

Posted by Stan the man (Member # 6249) on :

No complaint here, it's all good. It's all about response. An' no, I probably don't want to hear about the underwear anyway. It's just a little too private for me to hear.

Posted by Lucky4 (Member # 1420) on :

For the record, I had absolutely no part in that! (ahem, Frisco and KQ...)

Also, I think the whole underwear thing was an empty threat. There's really nothing too exciting or out of the ordinary about my drawers.

Any conversation about my undergarments would be brief. (that pun was just for you, Trevor!)

Posted by Megan (Member # 5290) on :

The "stroke the duck" thing was KQ, Frisco, and Ben. I think Lucky was just sitting in the back laughing too hard to add anything to that...er...exchange (that was me, too). Still, I'm glad to see that we managed to harass you out of hiding, Lucky. [Kiss]

Yes, watching a prim young Mormon woman mime "rubber" in charades was worth the price of admission. [Big Grin]

Which I forgot to pay, oops. I'll send you a check, Olivia.

One thing that surprised me about Lucky (and I guess some other lurkers as well, who knows?) was how much she got out of Hatrack without interacting much. She knows all the major in-jokes and themes, most posters, and even a lot of the minor threads. She also said that even with member turnover, HR is similar in some ways to when she started, with the same joke and controversy threads lodged in HR's communal memory.

I tend to think of HR as just a private message board, with new members joining, but of course it's not private, anybody can read it.

After meeting her, I see lurkers in a new and better light.

[Edit: She also told me that Lady Jane=Katy from Dallas, or was that KQ?)

Trevor! I'm so sorry about not calling on Sunday until late. We were just waiting around the meeting room watching Frisco and Ben throw a big ball of aluminum foil at each other, waiting to hear about kq's flight.

Which got way more complicated for everyone involved than I would have liked. *bites tongue to prevent apologizing for everything*

But I AM sorry about that. I thought that I was going to call you and tell you when to meet people at the Center for Puppetry Arts, but we realized we wouldn't be able to go there before we left the restaurant, and I thought you'd just come back. Mea Culpa

[Blushing] I felt so dumb when the Head Wench demonstrated how easy "rubber" is to break into "rub" and "brrr", but once you get something like that in your head, it's just impossible to think of anything else. (Hence the ending up on the floor laughing.)

[Taunt] You've already apologized. Profusely. For something you have no need to apologize over.

Olivetta...get over it. Besides, I really, really needed that shower. [Taunt]

And yes, Lucky was an amazing Gandalf. I never knew old men could look so hot. Although I have to admit, I am kinda biased since she flashed me. [Big Grin]

Next time, Mormo carries the notepad for any future "out of context" notes.

I mostly dance in a purposefully amusing manner for either improv games or Emma's amusement. I also occasionally pick her up for a waltz, a two-step, or an Irish jig or reel. I used to waltz, two-step, foxtrot, and cha-cha with my dad, but obviously I can't when he lives so far away. [Frown]

That's the only dancing I really do.

I just got home, as a matter of fact. The observation (by my professor) of me on the job went wonderfully; the physician I work with kept complimenting me and generally making me look good- I think he's just getting soft and sentimental in his old age!
