Congratulations! [Smile] He does look . . . maybe not quite like a toddler, but certainly older than a newborn.

Posted by BannaOj (Member # 3206) on :

Wow, I agree with what they said about "toddler" he just doesn't "look" like a newborn, he looks like he's already been out of the womb for a couple weeks even in the earliest pictures. Which also makes him cuter than the average "newborn" IMO too!

My fave is the one on the warming table. Looks like he's kicking back on the beach. [Smile] Thomas was pretty relaxed there as well.

By the way, this is the first picture I've seen of your other kids. All very cute.

Congratulations! I had lost track and didn't realize you were so far along, Amka. Cute kid. Of course, your whole family is cute, so it's to be expected.

PS: I love the strategically placed "It's a boy!" text box.

So his Hatrack name must be Birdman, if that's what you're calling him.

Congrats! [Party]

I love the picture of your girls giggling at Christopher. What a lovely family! Thanks for sharing -- that's a great webpage.

My doctor also told me I birthed a toddler! And Sophie was a few ounces shy of Christopher.

Rest well and Congratulations!

Thanks, all.

The girls really are in for an adventure, but so is Birdman. It has been interesting to see their relationship develop, even at this early stage. My oldest has read the month to month baby development magazine that I got in the incredible amount of hospital loot they send home. She feels very confident in picking him up and handling him. I'm having to learn to back down just a little, because watching her, she is quite capable at it.

Our middling child likes to hold the baby, but mostly shows her love by helping me out a lot. Especially making sure I have the hospital mug with the water measurements next to me at all times, full, because mommies need lots of water to make milk.

And our youngest just loves to touch him, hold him, and generally get in his face. She is making a transition that my other daughters made years ago, in that she has started going to dad more than before.

As for the last night of sleep... well, that passed me by years ago. Once my kids got old enough to let me sleep more, my bladder got old enough not to. I'm actually sleeping better now than I have in a few months, with baby beside me rather than inside.

"That's no baby, it's a spacestation."

I had an epidural with my fourth after three natural.

Have all of your children had patronymics? (This is Tricia, by the way. I'm not sure if you've been online enough to keep up with my screen names [Smile] )
