To be more accurate, Sex isn't good for you it's good for your kids, or to be completely correct it's good for a yeast cells kids.

I'm amused that this made news. I thought it was obvious that sexual reproduction is superior because the random mixing of genes allows for certain combinations that have unforseen advantage. It allows creativity to enter an otherwise too-stable situation. After all, we see that in computer models.

I think the whole article was written just so they could use the phrase "sexy yeast". [Wink]
